Job Overview: <ul><li>As a Sr. Product Dvl Engineer in the Signal Integrity team you will focus on the electrical design, simulation, and verification-validation testing of high speed products in the connector and/or cable assembly, radio system industry—</li><li>Targeting high speed communications and connectivity within datacenters and wireless infrastructure.&nbsp;</li><li>You will be expected to independently work on projects in the areas of signal integrity for product and system design including modeling, simulation, testing and circuit board layout.&nbsp;</li><li>You will work collaboratively within a broader cross functional team of mechanical, manufacturing, &amp; operations to execute leading edge products designs.&nbsp;</li><li>You will be the subject matter expert for the signal integrity performance of a product/platform beginning with the initial analysis through prototype fabrication &amp; evaluation, and production verification testing. You will tackle challenging design problems and utilize simulation tools to guide complex designs toward success.&nbsp;</li></ul> Responsibilities:&nbsp; <ul><li>Subject matter expert in signal integrity design, simulation and validation activities through product development cycles&nbsp;</li><li>Establishing signal integrity design performance/functional requirements for new products&nbsp;</li><li>Performing signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards on each product. This includes determining the correct simulation methodology and setup to use, as well as a good understanding of the criteria for each interface.&nbsp;</li><li>Performing PCB design schematic and layout reviews&nbsp;</li><li>Creating actionable recommendations based upon design reviews and simulation results&nbsp;</li><li>Guiding connector design and component qualifications from a signal integrity standpoint. Making data driven decisions about the product functionality and areas for improvement.&nbsp;</li></ul> Requirements:&nbsp; <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience&nbsp;</li><li>5+ years of relevant work experience in electrical design, RF design, or PCB design&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient with signal integrity analysis tools (Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS, CST, or equivalent tools)&nbsp;</li><li>A solid understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior&nbsp;</li><li>Strong analytical capabilities to interpret simulation and lab data to identify issues and provide solutions to fix identified problem.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly.&nbsp;</li><li>Fluent in English (both verbal and written) to facilitate global communication both internally and with external customers.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work in a global environment – able to accommodate varying time zones and capable of collaborating with individuals across geographies.&nbsp;</li><li>Individual must be highly motivated, a quick learner, and able to work independently&nbsp;</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead the development of power connector solutions, including sockets, high-speed connectors, and cable assemblies, from market definition through production and release, collaborating closely with customers, Product Managers, Sales, and Field Application Engineers to gather actionable Voice of Customer (VOC) insights.</li><li>Conceive innovative concepts for power connector products and perform feasibility studies, conducting mechanical and thermal simulations to evaluate design performance in real-world conditions.</li><li>Develop engineering evaluations and proposals focused on power connector applications, creating detailed designs, including 2D and 3D drawings, and performing Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and tolerance analysis.</li><li>Build prototype samples of power connectors, conduct validation testing to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards, and complete product qualification processes to finalize specifications.</li><li>Provide technical support to Operations, including Quality and Production teams, to enhance efficiency and ensure safe product launches, proactively resolving product-related issues and managing Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) and Product Change Notifications (PCN).</li><li>Develop a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs in power connectivity, fostering connections between business engineering teams and customer engineering teams to deliver optimal solutions.</li><li>Follow the LEAN Product Development (LEANPD) Project Process to ensure timely completion of new product development projects while adhering to quality standards and budget constraints, driving product development through stage-gate reviews.</li><li>Collaborate with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and external suppliers to meet technical, quality, and cost objectives specific to power connectors, providing thorough technical support to customer-facing teams.</li><li>Execute comprehensive technical documentation, including design drawings, engineering change notices, and design history files, ensuring all documentation reflects product specifications and development processes.</li><li>Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design and manufacturing processes for power connectors, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize product performance and efficiency.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience</li><li>Generally requires 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience with electrical components or devices, mechanical structure design, manufacturing tooling development (stamping, molding, assembly), or manufacturing process development</li><li>Knowledge in relevant mechanic design and development, including but not limited to, material selection, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, product qualification, etc.</li><li>Proficient in 3D CAD applications (Creo preferred) with experience in 3D solid&nbsp;modeling including sheet metal, 2-D drawings, PDM link Data Manager&nbsp;and general knowledge in design applications such as Spaceclaim, Solidworks, or others used&nbsp;only in concept
