Independently new product development experience is plus.</li><li>Knowledge of connector fundamentals, capable of connector component and terminal design,&nbsp;</li><li>Familiar with GD&amp;T, mechanics of plastic/metal materials, and basic knowledge in injection molding, stamping.</li><li>Familiar with automotive product development, automotive products development process like APQP and PPAP.</li><li>Skilled in at least one 3D Software: Creo or Pro/E or Catia or UG. Mastery of office software such as Word, Excel, PPT, etc.</li><li>Proficient in writing and reading English. Job Overview: <ul><li>As a Sr. Product Dvl Engineer in the Signal Integrity team you will focus on the electrical design, simulation, and verification-validation testing of high speed products in the connector and/or cable assembly, radio system industry—</li><li>targeting high speed communications and connectivity within datacenters and wireless infrastructure.&nbsp;</li><li>You will be expected to independently work on projects in the areas of signal integrity for product and system design including modeling, simulation, testing and circuit board layout.&nbsp;</li><li>You will work collaboratively within a broader cross functional team of mechanical, manufacturing, &amp; operations to execute leading edge products designs.&nbsp;</li><li>You will be the subject matter expert for the signal integrity performance of a product/platform beginning with the initial analysis through prototype fabrication &amp; evaluation, and production verification testing. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Responsible for product development of socket, high-speed connector, and cable assembly solutions from market definition through production and release:</li><li>Work closely with the customer and company Product Managers/Sales/Field Application Engineers in getting the right and clear VOC (voice of customer) and convert to a company design conceptualization and preliminary product specification.&nbsp;</li><li>Conceive concepts and perform feasibility studies.</li><li>Run mechanical and thermal simulations.</li><li>Make the engineering evaluation/proposal to the customer.&nbsp;</li><li>Create the detailed design including 2D/3D drawings and perform DFMEA/tolerance analysis.</li><li>Build prototype samples and perform validation.&nbsp;</li><li>Complete product qualification and finalize product specification.</li><li>Provide technical support to the Operations team including Quality and Production for efficiency improvement and safe launch.</li><li>Resolve product related issues to closure and manage the ECN/PCN (Engineering Change Notification/ Product Change Notification).</li><li>Build a deep understanding of the market and customer needs by fostering a connection between the business engineering teams and the customer engineering teams.</li><li>Maintain a system level understanding of the customer application and the product design/concept necessary for providing a solution to the customers’ expectation.&nbsp;</li><li>Follow the LEANPD Project Process to support the project team from the product development engineering (PDE) perspective to complete the new product development project on time, quality and budget.&nbsp;</li><li>Drive the development and release of product, scale-up through stage-gate reviews, ensuring milestone commitments are maintained.</li><li>Provide technical support to customer, sales, PM and plant teams.
