ResponsibilitiesConduct reservoir characterization studies, including Log-to-core integration, mapping, sequence stratigraphy and conceptual 3D geological modeling (Facies and reservoir properties).Contribute to field development plans through well planning using simulation ready 3D integrated model.Perform well planning, including creating well targets data with reservoir and drilling engineers, generating well trajectories and loading the directional data, preparing geological prognosis (including but not limited to tops, cross sections and correlation panels) along with monitor operational and geo-steering activities for all types of wells (horizontal, deviated, and vertical) in the office or offsite if needed, including monitoring, geo-steering and tracking wells, performing well evaluations while and post drilling, making well correlations, generating and/or updating maps for structural, stratigraphic and fluid limits in light of the new drilling information, and making critical decisions for wellbore adjustments.Interact with concerned geoscientists in the Reservoir Characterization Department, Reservoir Engineers, and Drilling & Workover Engineers and communicate clearly with all parties involved in drilling activities, and prepare post-drilling analysis.Requirements As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from a recognized and approved program, an advanced degree is preferred.You will have 15  years of experience in Field development activities or role of development geologist.You will have the ability to integrate all available Geological, Geophysical, Petrophysical, Sedimentological, and 3D Geological model and other dynamic information for advance reservoir characterization studies to in-depth understanding for reservoir architecture and flow behavior.You will also have the ability to integrate all characterization studies to identify suitable locations for drilling.Extensive experience in subsurface mapping and be familiar of utilization of various geological applications and packages (such as DSG, Petrel, Petrosys, Geolog, Teclog etc.) is also necessary.Also, a minimum of two years’ experience in geo-steering (with triple combo log) and real-time operations is preferred.You need to be familiar with LWD and/or wireline borehole image interpretation and also with rig operations and vendor logging systems.Previous experience in reservoir geology, drilling operations, field development, sedimentology/stratigraphy or structural geology is necessary

Responsibilities:Document and share your work through cross sections, maps, cross plots, histograms, and summary tables.May be involved in proposing, defending, and planning exploration wells in collaboration with operations teams and engineers.Effectively communicate with peers and the management team through presentations, technical discussions and written reports.Evaluate current practices and identify opportunities for improvements.Provide recommendations and advise in your particular area of expertise.Requirements:A Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related science, however an advanced degree is preferred.15-20 years of experience in conventional/unconventional exploration required.We will consider candidates with more or less experience, depending on the quality of their experience.Experience in mapping and evaluating Petroleum Systems and plays utilizing sound geological techniques.A well-integrated geologist, adept at working in broad, regional projects and comfortable with a more focused field-scale study.Experience in describing, integrating, and correlating clastic and mud rock units.Can generate depositional models.Integrates input from core description, seismic interpretation, lab measurements, and logs to guide and refine the geological understanding.A competent stratigrapher who works in clastic or carbonate environments and correlates by employing the most adequate techniques to further the regional/local framework.Demonstrates a good understanding of basin fill processes and their implications on the facies mapping and correlations.Works well with a multi-disciplinary team and is comfortable with an iterative approach that honors input from complementing professionals.Previous experience working with resource assessment and estimation is a plus.

Role Description:We are seeking a Safety Engineer focusing on Drilling & Workover Operations to join the Loss Prevention organization (LP), which is the corporate safety organization. We provide both day-to-day in-field occupational and process safety support to operations, as well as centralized technical support and consulting function. Our field offices are located in Abqaiq, Riyadh, Ras Tanura, Dhahran, Udhailiyah, Jeddah (including Yanbu and Jazan), and Tanajib. Through these offices, LP provides its services to all facilities and departments that are located throughout the Kingdom.The primary role as a Safety Engineer (Loss Prevention Engineer) is to is to provide daily support to upstream organizations to provide field and office safety support to manage safety in petroleum engineering, exploration, drilling and workover related activities, including unconventional resources and seismic operations.Responsibilities: As the successful candidate, you will have the requisite knowledge, skills, and experience to:Facilitate implementation of the Safety Management System, as well as its objectives and expectations, including developing associated safety processes, and participating in self-assessments.Inspect to onshore and offshore drilling rigs, workover equipment, and other support facilities and have in-depth knowledge of well control equipment and procedures (i.e., attended Basic Well Control School).Identify, evaluate, recommend actions, and follow up on critical, yet universal safety tasks and control methodologies related to operational safety practices (e.g., work at height, isolation/LOTO, permit to work, hydrogen sulfide, confined space entry, excavations).Participate in safety studies/activities using risk assessment and mitigation methodologies, such as: PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, incident investigations, compliance reviews, or insurance surveys.Develop and/or review corporate safety standards, instructions and procedures related to upstream operations and formalize them into company-documented practices as required.Review designs of oil and gas field facilities for compliance with company and industry safety standards.Assist in the development of Emergency Response Plans for credible scenarios. Attend emergency drills as observer and provide feedback.Respond to emergency situations and incidents, either during or after regular working hours, to provide technical assistance and advice.Support the reporting, classification and investigation all incidents, and participating in incident investigations, determination of root causes, and proper recommendations to prevent recurrence.Deliver Loss Prevention-specific training to employees, contractors, and outside parties.Mentor other LP personnel.Requirements:As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline from an Accredited Institution, and seven years of relevant oil and gas upstream industry experience, including a strong track record in delivering results.  This would include areas such as: Drilling & Workover operations; well planning and approval; reservoir management; geology and geophysics; project management for upstream facilities development; oil & gas field development; simultaneous operations (SIMPOS) between upstream and construction/downstream operations; offshore and onshore drilling rig safety inspections; managerial audits/assessments; and safety program and emergency response plans development.You will have an excellent ability to communicate in English with peers as well as members of management and be able to produce clear and concise oral and written reports in English.Have a working knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS).Working Environment:Our high-performing employees are drawn by the challenging and rewarding professional, technical and industrial opportunities we offer, and are remunerated accordingly.Our people work on truly world-scale projects, supported by investment in capital and technology that is second to none. Responsibilities:The candidate will be required to perform the following:Exploration mapping and option generation for CO2 storage in the subsurface geology of Saudi Arabia.Have a background of CO2 properties and how they relate to depth of storage, seal effectiveness and long-term aspects of trapping mechanism, subsurface dynamics and interaction with subsurface materials such as lithologies and drilled wells.Interpret well information, making well correlations and working with petro-physicists as required to define stratigraphic frameworks and the properties of reservoirs and seals, and characterize in-situ formation water properties.Participate in the acquisition planning and possibly interpretation of geo-mechanical information, such as analysis of conventional core, relating to seal integrity for CO2 storage.Familiarity with well injection testing and operations, and interpretation of well test data in terms of reservoir performance in relation to CO2 storage.Interpret seismic, including seismic stratigraphic interpretations for storage. Understand depth conversion of seismically-mapped geological surfaces, considering velocity information and uncertainties.Map making using industry standard tools. Storage volume and risk estimates. Prepare and present professional-quality presentation materials to technical peers and management. Provide mentoring and technical assistance to young professionalsTake critical decisions and solve problems.Works in multidiscipline teams.Requirements:As a successful candidate, you would need to hold a bachelor or higher degree in Geology or Geophysics.You will have 15 years of experience in subsurface geoscience including several years of experience specifically related to geological interpretation, mapping and preferably CO2 subsurface storage option mapping, selection and site characterization, including extensive experience in applying Clastic and Carbonate Sequence and Seismic Stratigraphy and Regional Geology using seismic and well data to document all scales relevant subsurface storage option generation, ranking and characterization.as well as an extensive experience in petro-technical applications relating to the use of wells and seismic (2D and 3D) for subsurface storage geoscience, e.g., Petrel, Petrosys.  You will be competent with basic well log interpretation and familiar with advanced logs and well data such as image logs, NMR, pressures and core. Apply sequence stratigraphic techniques to identify storage opportunities.  Structural geology skills including fault interpretation and fault seal.As a subject matter expert, you will have:Experience in planning and involvement with the operational decision-making of several wells.English language fluency with the capability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing, with experience of working with multidisciplinary teams across different parts of an organization.Experience of other non-hydrocarbon subsurface management challenges such as geothermal, Hydrogen storage, chemical storage etc would be an advantage.A track record of research publications or patents would be an advantage.Excellent presentation skills.
