Job Description:&nbsp; <ul><li>Understand customers, customer segments and the core jobs-to-be-done to build solutions that exceed customers expectations and become an indispensable aide for them.</li><li>Utilize all means possible – internal data, stakeholder input, voice of the customer, market intelligence and independent research – to bring forth thoughtful and impactful solutions to market.</li><li>Partner with cross functional teams - product managers, program managers, engineering, design, UXR, marketing, and commercial managers - and collaborate with them to do right thing for the customers</li><li>A passion to help build right payment solutions for microbusinesses who have the highest ambitions and are price sensitive</li><li>Be nimble to adapt to changing business needs and team needs, yet stay focused on driving measurable impact</li><li>Be grounded in data and have a balanced view based on intuition and observation.</li></ul> Responsibilities: <ul><li>Responsible for owning, executing and maintaining a product roadmap leading from discovery to delivery</li><li>Define product requirements and lead successful execution of initiatives</li><li>Drive and/or take part in sprint planning, pre-mortems, post-mortems, and bug triaging</li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams at and external partners to design, build, launch new product capabilities or improve existing functionality.</li><li>Engage closely with engineering and architecture to help determine the best technical implementation/design while balancing time-to-market needs.</li><li>Use A/B Testing, analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to drive decision making</li><li>Summarize product execution updates as well as KPI updates to stakeholders to help with decision-making</li><li>Work closely with commercial teams to align product goals with commercial outcomes</li><li>Define and proactively monitor key performance metrics to support and make product decisions • Partner with Customer Support teams in solving pain points for our users.</li><li>Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure the products we deliver are within regulatory boundaries.</li><li>Define a product launch plan for your area, including identifying new opportunities as well as maintaining a rolling roadmap of projects or iterations.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>5+ years of consumer web or mobile product management experience</li><li>Experience in delivering successful large-scale mobile and web products</li><li>Ability to use data and analytics dashboards to inform product hypotheses and decisions.</li><li>Experience developing and delivering direct-to-consumer products to market successfully</li><li>Experience working with a full-stack engineering team, i.e., both front-end experience (mobile and web) as well as back-end services.</li><li>Experience in Payments and SMB is a plus&nbsp;</li></ul>

The Role As a Staff Software Engineer, you will act as a subject matter expert. We are looking for technologists with the highest levels of technical talent, programming, and communication skills with a keen desire to deeply understand our product and how to make our systems stronger and more resilient. &nbsp;Responsibility <ul><li>Lead engineering efforts and team level processes by defining outcomes for others, refining ongoing processes, and providing technical advice to senior leaders on systems, solutions, challenges, and strategy.</li><li>Evangelist for technical standards, engineering best practices, and quality across larger Venmo team , Inc. Determines the technical tasks that other engineers will follow.</li><li>Support end-to-end ownership of design, implementation and operational excellence of software components while proactively improving existing structures and processes.</li><li>Contribute to the technical engineering roadmap by completing quality and thorough assessments of implementation alternatives and their associated trade-offs and providing recommendations.</li><li>Be consistently solutions-focused while contributing to the vision of domain and larger Venmo technical engineering roadmap.</li><li>Exercises judgement in reconciling diverse and competing priorities to identify optimal solutions to problems.</li><li>Leverage strategic thinking and experience to look ahead and anticipate consequences and risks linked to implementation choices; able to identify patterns to reduce repetition into meaningful general solutions.</li><li>A key voice on team-level processes (ex code &amp; design reviews) and oversees projects, ensuring an accurate, complete, timely and operable solution is delivered.</li><li>Serves as an expert to resolve technical inquiries of others.</li><li>Be able to provide technical leadership for a team with limited guidance from management or senior teammates.</li><li>Strong skills interacting and tailoring communication with various technical and non-technical stakeholders, such as product, support, finance operations, compliance and legal.</li></ul> Requirement <ul><li>At least 5+ years’ Experience developing and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications at scale.</li><li>Strong Kotlin skills &amp; knowledge of multi-threaded, asynchronous code.</li><li>Deep understanding and knowledge around consuming GraphQL and REST APIs from Mobile applications.</li><li>Passionate about mentoring and developing software engineers.</li><li>Strong understanding of testing best practices and familiarity with at least one testing framework for Mobile Development. Skilled at writing Unit and Automation tests.</li><li>Strong knowledge of common design patterns, algorithms, and object-oriented programming with expertise in design patterns such as MVC and MVVM.</li></ul>
