Responsibilities:As a subject matter expert, you will;Use/maintain geological models to conduct and document reservoir characterization work-flows via generating cross sections from well logs, maps, cores, cross plots, histograms, summary tables, and written reports for different stratigraphic intervals to recommend placement of wells and supplementary processes to enhance production.Evaluate current practices and identify opportunities for innovative improvements using data science applications to predict reservoir quality.Actively participate in the well planning process to optimize well locations using a variety of geological and geophysical data.Monitor and trac wells, performing well evaluations during and post frac jobs, generating and/or updating maps for structural, stratigraphic, fluid limits in light of new drilling and flowback information.Provide geological input into generation of appraisal and development plans for resource assessment and development optimization.Work closely with drilling, production and reservoir engineering teams and champion operational activities from planning to execution.Effectively communicate through presentations to technical peers and management teams to enhance in-house knowledge.Provide support, recommendations and advise in the area of expertise.Mentor and develop newly hired and young professionals.Requirements:As the successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related science, however an advanced degree is preferred.You must have at least 8 years or more of experience and active technical roles, with at least 5 years in shale unconventional plays, we will consider candidates with more or less experience, depending on the quality of their experience.You will also have;Experience in building, maintaining and evaluating large and complex geological models utilizing geological modeling software.Working knowledge in the integration of sedimentology, depositional environments, petrophysics, geophysics, geochemistry, geomechanics and well placement. Experience working with the production and drilling teams on well performance and optimization.Previous experience working with reservoir engineers and reserve auditors to determine reserve and resource estimations is preferred.

Responsibilities:As a subject matter expert, you will perform the following;Geological technical assessments of resource plays to ensure prospectivity.Risk assessments to identify gaps in knowledge and quantify COS.Resource assessments to confirm value and support reserve estimation.Geologically support reservoir engineering with Commerciality Assessments.Strategic planning and monitoring to ensure the best plays are being de-risked and targets are being met.Work closely with the Exploration & Characterization Divisions to support planning and execution of wells.Evaluate current practices and identify opportunities for improvements.Effectively communicate through presentations and written reports to technical peers and management.Provide recommendations and advise in your particular area of expertise.Mentor younger staff and provide opportunities for knowledge sharing.Requirements:A Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics or related sciences; advanced degree is preferred.15 years of experience, with at least 5-10 years in unconventional plays, including shale or tight gas exploration, development, or strategic planning, across multiple unconventional hydrocarbon basins, is required.A solid background in the play-based approach to evaluate tight sand and shale plays, evaluation of risk and resource assessment within unconventionals, is essential.Experience managing and de-risking a portfolio of tight sand or shale opportunities from exploration through development, with a strong understanding of the geological and engineering factors that determine success within different unconventional plays, is essential.Knowledge in the integration of sedimentology, depositional environments, petrophysics, geomechanics, basic geophysics and basic reservoir engineering, is preferred.Experience integrating basic reservoir engineering and geology to tight and source rock reservoirs, is preferred.Previous experience working with reservoir engineers and reserve auditors to determine reserve and resource estimations, is preferred.Experience working with the production and drilling departments on well performance and optimization, is preferred.Experience working with Reservoir Engineering teams on Economics of Unconventional Field Development plans, is preferred.Candidates with more or less experience can potentially be considered, depending on the quality of their experience.

ResponsibilitiesConduct reservoir characterization studies, including Log-to-core integration, mapping, sequence stratigraphy and conceptual 3D geological modeling (Facies and reservoir properties).Contribute to field development plans through well planning using simulation ready 3D integrated model.Perform well planning, including creating well targets data with reservoir and drilling engineers, generating well trajectories and loading the directional data, preparing geological prognosis (including but not limited to tops, cross sections and correlation panels) along with monitor operational and geo-steering activities for all types of wells (horizontal, deviated, and vertical) in the office or offsite if needed, including monitoring, geo-steering and tracking wells, performing well evaluations while and post drilling, making well correlations, generating and/or updating maps for structural, stratigraphic and fluid limits in light of the new drilling information, and making critical decisions for wellbore adjustments.Interact with concerned geoscientists in the Reservoir Characterization Department, Reservoir Engineers, and Drilling & Workover Engineers and communicate clearly with all parties involved in drilling activities, and prepare post-drilling analysis.Requirements As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from a recognized and approved program, an advanced degree is preferred.You will have 15  years of experience in Field development activities or role of development geologist.You will have the ability to integrate all available Geological, Geophysical, Petrophysical, Sedimentological, and 3D Geological model and other dynamic information for advance reservoir characterization studies to in-depth understanding for reservoir architecture and flow behavior.You will also have the ability to integrate all characterization studies to identify suitable locations for drilling.Extensive experience in subsurface mapping and be familiar of utilization of various geological applications and packages (such as DSG, Petrel, Petrosys, Geolog, Teclog etc.) is also necessary.Also, a minimum of two years’ experience in geo-steering (with triple combo log) and real-time operations is preferred.You need to be familiar with LWD and/or wireline borehole image interpretation and also with rig operations and vendor logging systems.Previous experience in reservoir geology, drilling operations, field development, sedimentology/stratigraphy or structural geology is necessary

Role Description:This senior professional will be a focal point in well testing/pressure transient analysis as part of the Well Testing Division in Petroleum Engineering. He or she is expected to provide support and leadership in multi-disciplinary projects for clients from diverse organizations.Responsibilities:Have skills in pressure transient analysis (PTA) in complex well/reservoir/fluid systems– for example, ICD/ICV/Smart Completion/Multilateral/MRC/EOR/Channel/MultiPhase/Tight and Unconventional Gas.Must have excellent skills in building numerical models to study pressure-transient scenarios; for example,fault/fracture networks in heterogeneous systems, thermal effects in injection wells, etc.Competent in processing and interpreting large and real-time data from intelligent fields.Integrate PTA with petrophysical, geological, fluid properties, drilling and completion data, and operational details to build representative reservoir models.Field experiences in design, supervision and execution of exploration well testing operations are essential. Special emphasis is put on testing operations in harsh and difficult environments e.g,deep water, heavy oil, involving H2S/CO2, etc.Work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and must be experienced in conducting studies and delivering technical presentations.Prior experiences in modelling complex wells, completed over multiple, heterogeneous reservoir layers, are essential.Capable of teaching complete, structured courses on well testing.Coach young professionals to prepare them to take over difficult projects in the future. Also guide them as a career advisor.Possess track records of building complex analytical and numerical models from scratch. Skills with deriving and coding mathematical solutions for transient pressures are desirable.Experiences in building advanced transient models by calibrating geological sector models with well-test data are desirable.Be seen as a person of excellence or a subject matter expert in the area of well testing.Adapt and promote new technologies for efficiency and for improving quality of work. Get involved in development of new technologies.Contribute to knowledge substantially by writing technical papers and filing patent ideas. Also present existing and new technologies in the knowledge sharing meetings.Get involved in local, regional and international professional societies for exchange of knowledge and ideas.Requirements:Extensive engineering background with a degree in petroleum engineering or similar discipline. However, an MS or a PhD is preferred. Good exposure to production engineering, well logging, well testing operations, simulation, drilling and completions, and field development is essential.At least 12 years of experience in petroleum engineering, including on-the-job experiences in pressure- transient analyses, numerical modelling with complex well and reservoir configurations or leading well testing operations.At least 10 years of experience in building complex PTA models, or reservoir simulation models or leading well testing operations is essential.Practical knowledge of using commercial software packages of well testing, simulation and geological modelling.Field experiences in designing exploration well testing programs, and supervising and supporting operations are valued. Excellent understanding of surface and downhole tools in well testing is essential. Prior experiences of testing in difficult environments (e.g., deep water, heavy oil, high H2S/CO2 contents, etc.) are preferable.Excellent project management skills.Excellent skills in communicating with colleagues, clients and management.

Responsibilities:The candidate will be required to perform the following:Exploration mapping and option generation for CO2 storage in the subsurface geology of Saudi Arabia.Have a background of CO2 properties and how they relate to depth of storage, seal effectiveness and long-term aspects of trapping mechanism, subsurface dynamics and interaction with subsurface materials such as lithologies and drilled wells.Interpret well information, making well correlations and working with petro-physicists as required to define stratigraphic frameworks and the properties of reservoirs and seals, and characterize in-situ formation water properties.Participate in the acquisition planning and possibly interpretation of geo-mechanical information, such as analysis of conventional core, relating to seal integrity for CO2 storage.Familiarity with well injection testing and operations, and interpretation of well test data in terms of reservoir performance in relation to CO2 storage.Interpret seismic, including seismic stratigraphic interpretations for storage. Understand depth conversion of seismically-mapped geological surfaces, considering velocity information and uncertainties.Map making using industry standard tools. Storage volume and risk estimates. Prepare and present professional-quality presentation materials to technical peers and management. Provide mentoring and technical assistance to young professionalsTake critical decisions and solve problems.Works in multidiscipline teams.Requirements:As a successful candidate, you would need to hold a bachelor or higher degree in Geology or Geophysics.You will have 15 years of experience in subsurface geoscience including several years of experience specifically related to geological interpretation, mapping and preferably CO2 subsurface storage option mapping, selection and site characterization, including extensive experience in applying Clastic and Carbonate Sequence and Seismic Stratigraphy and Regional Geology using seismic and well data to document all scales relevant subsurface storage option generation, ranking and characterization.as well as an extensive experience in petro-technical applications relating to the use of wells and seismic (2D and 3D) for subsurface storage geoscience, e.g., Petrel, Petrosys.  You will be competent with basic well log interpretation and familiar with advanced logs and well data such as image logs, NMR, pressures and core. Apply sequence stratigraphic techniques to identify storage opportunities.  Structural geology skills including fault interpretation and fault seal.As a subject matter expert, you will have:Experience in planning and involvement with the operational decision-making of several wells.English language fluency with the capability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing, with experience of working with multidisciplinary teams across different parts of an organization.Experience of other non-hydrocarbon subsurface management challenges such as geothermal, Hydrogen storage, chemical storage etc would be an advantage.A track record of research publications or patents would be an advantage.Excellent presentation skills.
