ABOUT: We are building a world class Global Trade Services (GTS) organization and the GTS - Automotive Business Unit senior analyst (based in Hungary) plays a critical role in supporting trade operations and compliance within the Business Unit (BU). The GTS AUT BU senior analyst serves as a trusted advisor and key team member within TE’s Operational Compliance team for the BU. The purpose of this role is to facilitate TE’s compliance, at the BU level, with import and export regulations globally to enhance global trade compliance, reduce risk, increase responsiveness to issues and opportunities, and support effective operational aspects of international trade. This role reports into the Senior Manager GTS Automotive EMEAI and is a key member of the Global Trade Services (GTS) team. Responsibilities:Responsible for procurement of the assigned raw materials, goods or services while utilizing negotiations, employing market knowledge to obtain best pricing and best supply situation Processes and documents all Procure-to-Pay transactions in an efficient and accurate manner by working with the Sourcing Managers, Accounts Payable and key stakeholders in the plantObtain and analyze pricing bids, spot buys, and quotes to determine proper sourcing of indirect materials, and/or servicesNegotiate pricing, payment terms, and exercise a high degree of independent judgment to manage vendor relationshipsIdentify and implement cost savings and avoidance opportunities without impacting service levelsWork to minimize the total cost of transactions.Initiate set up process for new vendors.Resolve blocked invoice issues.Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws Assist with contract development and entries into contract management systemSeek to become the expert and source of advice in area of assignment.Requirements:Bachelors degree in supply chain preferred.Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience preferred.Strong communication skills (written and verbal)Strong interpersonal skills; able to forge and collaborate with internal customer/external supplier relationships.Understanding of contracts and commercial terms Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing and basic understanding of supply chain managementExpertise in SAP and/or SAP-Ariba data processing systems preferredAbility to comply with existing/quickly adapt to new processes within the organization; Adaptive to change, uncertain circumstances, embraces challengesExceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in team environment and demonstrate leadershipNegotiation skillsComfortable with conflict
