SAP Consultant - FICO

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead the development of power connector solutions, including sockets, high-speed connectors, and cable assemblies, from market definition through production and release, collaborating closely with customers, Product Managers, Sales, and Field Application Engineers to gather actionable Voice of Customer (VOC) insights.</li><li>Conceive innovative concepts for power connector products and perform feasibility studies, conducting mechanical and thermal simulations to evaluate design performance in real-world conditions.</li><li>Develop engineering evaluations and proposals focused on power connector applications, creating detailed designs, including 2D and 3D drawings, and performing Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and tolerance analysis.</li><li>Build prototype samples of power connectors, conduct validation testing to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards, and complete product qualification processes to finalize specifications.</li><li>Provide technical support to Operations, including Quality and Production teams, to enhance efficiency and ensure safe product launches, proactively resolving product-related issues and managing Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) and Product Change Notifications (PCN).</li><li>Develop a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs in power connectivity, fostering connections between business engineering teams and customer engineering teams to deliver optimal solutions.</li><li>Follow the LEAN Product Development (LEANPD) Project Process to ensure timely completion of new product development projects while adhering to quality standards and budget constraints, driving product development through stage-gate reviews.</li><li>Collaborate with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and external suppliers to meet technical, quality, and cost objectives specific to power connectors, providing thorough technical support to customer-facing teams.</li><li>Execute comprehensive technical documentation, including design drawings, engineering change notices, and design history files, ensuring all documentation reflects product specifications and development processes.</li><li>Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design and manufacturing processes for power connectors, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize product performance and efficiency.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience</li><li>Generally requires 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience with electrical components or devices, mechanical structure design, manufacturing tooling development (stamping, molding, assembly), or manufacturing process development</li><li>Knowledge in relevant mechanic design and development, including but not limited to, material selection, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, product qualification, etc.</li><li>Proficient in 3D CAD applications (Creo preferred) with experience in 3D solid&nbsp;modeling including sheet metal, 2-D drawings, PDM link Data Manager&nbsp;and general knowledge in design applications such as Spaceclaim, Solidworks, or others used&nbsp;only in concept stage&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Occasional for product specifications</li><li>Basic knowledge in raw material, industry standard, and product application</li><li>Basic knowledge in manufacturing process (machining, molding, stamping, plating, assembly, etc.) [Note must have knowledge of 3 of the 5]</li><li>Basic knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, 6 sigma, DOE, etc.)</li><li>Proficient using MS office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, MS Teams, etc.)&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient in geometric Responsibilities:Collaborating with clients to understand their business processes and financial requirements.Designing and implementing custom solutions to address specific business requirements that cannot be met through standard SAP configurationConducting thorough testing of SAP FICO configurations and customizations to ensure accuracy and functionality.Creating and maintaining documentation for SAP FICO configurations, customizations, and processesTo drive business discussions, providing direction and assume full responsibility for projects. The candidate must be able to take leadership in the technical and functional analysis, requirements gathering, configuration, testing, implementation, and daily support.  Lead business discussions to collect the requirements, prepare business documentation, design, configure, test solutions. Track record of supporting systems with global implementationsCoordinate with all stake holders to drive end to end solutions, bring value delivery, provide day to day support/trouble shooting issues. Requirements:Solid experience in SAP FI & CO and integration to MM and SD.Hands on Experience in end-to-end implementation, Support, data migration and roll out of projects in all phases of design, implementation, and testing.Configure SAP FICO module settings, including chart of accounts, posting periods, document types, tax codes, and currency settings, to support financial operations and reporting.Experience in Data Migration/Cutover activities such as master & transaction data.Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestiture projectsAble to handle all modules of FI + COBAP Debugging knowledge is added advantage Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skillsProactively identify areas for process improvements.Provide subject matter expertise with SAP best practices Stay current with SAP FICO module updates, new features, and industry best practices to continuously improve SAP FICO system functionality and drive business value.FICO Data Migration/Cutover activities of Master & Transaction DataFI/MM and FI/SD integration Ex: Integrating with Treasury Management platforms (e.g. Kyriba) and Tax Compliance software (e.g. SOVOS)Flexible with working in shifts per business demand & overtime.Technical experience including debugging, SAP tables, OSS note application, testing, and coordination with developers is required. The candidate must be able to demonstrate skills in: Leadership, Communication and Adaptability.
