ABOUT: We are building a world class Global Trade Services (GTS) organization and the GTS - Automotive Business Unit senior analyst (based in Hungary) plays a critical role in supporting trade operations and compliance within the Business Unit (BU). The GTS AUT BU senior analyst serves as a trusted advisor and key team member within TE’s Operational Compliance team for the BU. The purpose of this role is to facilitate TE’s compliance, at the BU level, with import and export regulations globally to enhance global trade compliance, reduce risk, increase responsiveness to issues and opportunities, and support effective operational aspects of international trade. This role reports into the Senior Manager GTS Automotive EMEAI and is a key member of the Global Trade Services (GTS) team. The successful candidate will be able to collaborate and thrive in a global environment while maintaining integrity, taking accountability, and working together.&nbsp;&nbsp; Responsibilities: <ul><li>Execute trade operations and provide compliance oversight for the assigned BU in EMEA to ensure TE’s compliance with import/export laws and regulations</li><li>Maintain trade operations and compliance activities in accordance with TE policies, procedures, and controls, in collaboration with key stakeholders throughout the BU</li><li>Act as a point of contact for BU stakeholders in EMEA on trade-related matters.</li><li>Actively contribute to duty savings and other projects</li><li>Embed and train GTS SOPs and other processes locally</li><li>Work with BU stakeholders and counsel in EMEA to understand business changes and develop trade-related solutions/strategies and controls to ensure compliance</li><li>Maintain BU-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the operations</li><li>Partner with Trade Compliance Professionals and Stakeholders across the Enterprise</li><li>Partner with GTS Governance to monitor trade compliance regulatory and legislative changes, assess the potential impact to the BU, and determine the necessary actions and communications to the appropriate stakeholders</li><li>Work with GTS Governance teams to conduct trade compliance audits and oversee corrective action plans</li><li>Partner with GTS Governance to develop and administer effective trade compliance training as required throughout the region and organization</li><li>Ensure appropriate utilization of the GTS Operations Service Centre for product classification (import and export), restricted party screening, and duty savings compliance, and otherwise ensure proper country of origin determination, valuation, and admissibility</li><li>Work with the Operational Service Centres to identify, evaluate and administer opportunities to facilitate trade in a cost-effective and compliant manner (e.g., make use of applicable Free Trade Agreements, processing regimes etc.)</li><li>Establish and maintain relationships with internal functions, including corporate functions, to encourage awareness of global trade compliance issues, pro-actively identify trade risk and threats, and develop appropriate trade compliance controls</li><li>Talent Development &amp; Leadership</li><li>Create a culture of engagement and performance in alignment with TE’s core values</li><li>Lead by example and act with empathy</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelors degree required (international business, supply chain, law, or related field)</li><li>6+ years’ experience in global trade compliance</li><li>Preferred: 3+ years’ experience in supporting trade functions within an industrial, communications, transportation, or similar business</li><li>Functional knowledge of import and export regulations and familiarity with customs practices in Hungary and preferably other countries in the EMEA region</li><li>Functional knowledge of customs classification, including direct experience classifying products under the Harmonized Tariff System</li><li>Preferred: Functional knowledge of export classification</li><li>Preferred: Familiarity with customs valuation (e.g., assists, transfer price adjustments)</li><li>Preferred: Experience in post-entry/post-shipment audits and process audits in general</li><li>Preferred: Experience actively participating in cross-functional group projects</li><li>Experience interfacing directly and effectively with government agency authorities</li><li>Advanced Excel and/or PowerBI skills are a plus</li><li>Proven ability to work with variety of business groups, including supply chain, legal, procurement and finance</li><li>Highly developed decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Excellent organizational habits and priority management</li><li>Ability to foster teamwork and internal and external relationships</li><li>Customer focused with a commitment to quality</li><li>Preferred: Customs Broker License or other Customs / Trade certification&nbsp;</li><li>Travel may be necessary in fulfilment of responsibilities&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>

Responsibilities: <ul><li>This role supports the Legal &amp; Privacy Head’s daily functions and is a strong ambassador to the trusted ‘gate-keeper’ objectives across sales, marketing, operations, purchasing and other business stakeholders.&nbsp;</li><li>The activities include handling the day-to-day legal team administration linked to business needs.</li><li>Co-ordinate the roll-out of legal / compliance training across all regional hub offices with key focus across commercial, purchasing, and regulatory forms related to the distribution of consumer goods globally in Chinese and English.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of the travel retail distribution channel an advantage.</li><li>Multi-task and be organised across various delegations, ‘ad-hoc’ administrative tasks and assignments.</li><li>Take part in developing internal control initiatives whilst anticipating legal and reputational risks, actively listening, reviewing, and drafting forms, as required.</li><li>Develop and roll-out contract life cycle processes with company stakeholders to finalise forms externally.&nbsp;</li><li>Constructively challenging the status-quo and breaking barriers for effective ‘ways-of-working’.</li><li>Facilitate various projects through the co-ordination, drafting forms and checking thoroughly the processes for compliance.</li><li>Have attention to detail with a proven ability to optimise limited business resources, work collaboratively with different cultures and adapt to agile ways-of-working.</li></ul>&nbsp;Requirements: <ul><li>2 to 4 years of work experience with relevant university qualifications in Law.&nbsp;</li><li>Additional qualifications in business, political science, tax, compliance, languages and communications, will be highly regarded.</li><li>Mandarin Chinese (written + spoken, preferably) to assist in China Hub local form review and staff training.</li><li>Detail-oriented, self-starter and comfortable working independently (in a small team setting) with relevant private practice training and in-house work experience, having proven stakeholder management with a ‘can-do’ mindset.</li><li>Strong awareness and interest in the business of luxury and FMCG brands. Has an entrepreneurial mindset with curiosity across all aspects of B-2-B retail and the end-consumer journeys. Knowledge of the digital marketing and social platform space (i.e., AliPay, Douyin, WeChat, Weibo, Ctrip, etc.) is an advantage.</li><li>Displaying strong awareness over legal issues and curiosity on global consumer trends in the Asia-Pacific region (i.e., digital retail, data-privacy protections, competition, bribery/corruption, customs/trade, etc.).</li><li>Direct mentorship opportunities from daily business interactions across the organisation as well as continuous professional development offered on various topics (i.e., business, soft-skills, etc.)</li></ul>
