The Role:Responsible for establishing and driving the SSA sourcing strategy and initiatives, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services to support the organizations operational needs. For our Illicit Trade Prevention’s (ITP) team, based in London, we are currently looking for a Senior Analyst ITP Forensics

This role holder will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in tobacco products and Smoke Free Products (SFP) (incl. Illicit products) forensics and fulfill PMI’s legal and court requirements as Intellectual Property (IP) right holder. While contributing to the development of innovative methodologies, features and tools to protect and authenticate PMI products, generating product intelligence on illicit products to support ITP strategies and activities, and law enforcement investigations and litigation actions.

Key accountabilities:

Product authentication: perform PMI products authentication within a timely and satisfactory manner, for both our combustible (CC) and smoke free (SFP) category.
Product Intelligence:
perform product analyses, from Empty Pack Surveys’ samples to investigations and evidence materials, as well as from consumer complaints, test purchases, SFP device returns, in-market sampling, SFP recycling hubs, etc.
Product Forensics and Investigative support: perform forensics evaluation of samples of potentially illicit tobacco products stemming from various sources.
Organize and perform onsite inspections of raided illegal factories (manufacturing premises), aiming to support authorities in the fight against illicit manufacturing of tobacco products (incl. CC and SFP).
Trigger or support follow-up actions.
Represent the company in various events, incl. witness hearings or other legal proceedings, acting as PMI’s SME in product authentication and forensics.
Perform enhanced profiling of illicit products (“grouping”), aiming to support ongoing investigations or provide product intelligence to internal and external partners.
Product Security Features (PSF): use in practice PMI PSFs and verify their functionality, providing factual and constructive feedback on their presence and effectiveness to the supervisors or personnel in charge.
Supplier Liaison Program (SLP): support or contribute to the process by collecting information, gathering evidence and materials as part of ongoing forensics activities (e.g., factory raids follow-ups, company checks etc.).
SFP:
Actively contribute to protecting the consumer journey and the fast-evolving product lifecycle and distribution models, by analyzing samples stemming from manufacturing through distribution to sales, and its reverse logistics (returns and recycling).
Provide SME expertise for the new products in PMI’s portfolio, incl. launches and markets resulting from PMI business agreements, mergers or acquisitions.
Supply Chain Integrity: actively support and contribute to the process of fulfillment of PMI regulatory or internal obligations included in PMI’s Anti-Diversion programs. By responding to external and internal partners requests for technical expertise and product forensics,
Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) through technical assistance:
deliver, support and / or assist in technical training program deliverables to law enforcement authorities aiming at building their capability in tackling illicit trade.
Support building the “external engagement corridors” for further follow-up actions.
Industry Technical Alliance: contribute to process by ensuring the relevant technical information, samples and forensics info availability, when applicable.
Forensics IT Systems: contribute to maintenance and continuous improvements process of ITP system(s) in place.
3rd party support personnel supervision: supervise and coordinate a potential pool of external vendors or service providers contracted for support in product authentication, inspections, and analyses (incl. EPS pack analysis).
We are looking for someone with;

University (master or bachelor degree), preferably in Technical Sciences.
Strong experience in the tobacco industry or other consumer goods industry, preferably in product forensics at the anti-counterfeit / anti-illicit trade department or similar.
Know-how of technical examination techniques for products and forensics evaluation, incl. chemical and qualitative analysis methodologies and external laboratories network.
Knowledge of SFPs and vaping products, incl. electronics, SFP consumables and oral products category.
Project Management - Certified project management skills, incl. international and cross-functional projects coordination and supervision.

Responsibilities: <ul><li>Sales and Marketing Growth Plans – Crafted plans to explode total business growth</li><li>Portfolio Management – Working on multi-tier, multi-segment categories to accelerate growth across different consumer groups.</li><li>Distributor Management – Working with lot of distributors across the markets from business planning to marketing and sales strategies to in-store, below-the-line and above-the-line executions. Trained distributors on sell-out analysis to uncover growth gaps and opportunities.</li><li>Consumer-centric Category-Country Strategy – Designed and introduced the consumer insight-based growth strategy by category-country combination to unlock category and market growth, which was previously non-existent in the business.</li><li>Regional Campaign Design and Execution –Working on ideation, regional design and local adaptation and execution of campaigns that build on each category strategy.</li><li>Supply Chain Management – Initiated the full supply chain tracking system for Markets from ordering to shipping to systematize issue escalation and resolution (late ordering, delays, shelf-life issues, customer complaints) more actionable.</li><li>Forecasting and Demand Planning – Leads the demand planning process with the distributors starting with sell-out analysis and campaign planning to sell-in forecasting and shipment planning. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead Suppliers Audit of Supply Chain domain, support suppliers in diagnosing issues, analyzing data/process/system, drive action plans on continuous improvement</li><li>Governance actions progress with suppliers, make sure all open actions to be implemented and closed on time. Lead and document Supplier audit reports, create guidance book and strategy plans for long run.</li><li>Collaborating with procurement, suppliers, and vendors to align their processes with the transformation goals.</li><li>Establishing strong partnerships to drive mutual success.</li><li>Strategy Development: Developing a clear and comprehensive ‘Upstream Planning Blueprint’ for global network of BU Outside Group Vendor.&nbsp;</li><li>Involves identifying opportunities for improvement, setting objectives (long term and short term), and outlining the roadmap to achieve the desired changes.</li></ul> Vendor Delivery Performance Management:&nbsp; <ul><li>Monitor, Track and Orchestrate the Vendor Operations Performance with Organization on regular basis against established KPI (MOQ, Lead Times, Shipment Reliability, Forecast Reliability).</li><li>Analyze historical performance data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions regarding vendor relationships and drive supplier accountability.</li><li>Lead Regular cross-functional reviews to share insights on Trends, Deviations, Root Cause Analysis and Action Plan Progress. Address Issues and drive Decision Making with stake holders to mitigate risks.</li><li>Digitalize to help in animation. Heatmaps to drive focus and prioritization.</li><li>Qualify and Guarantee Vendor Master Data Health</li></ul> Process Optimization:&nbsp; <ul><li>Evaluating existing upstream supply chain processes, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency improvement.</li><li>Implementing best practices and ensuring that processes are standardized and streamlined across factories.</li><li>Establish supply network operational excellence (SNOE) reviews with Key Vendor at regular frequency, with clear agenda and agreed action plan to improve performance.</li><li>Partner with Global Logistics to enable Raw Material Central Planning Hub&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Drive IBP adoption towards forecast propagation and capacity commit backs.</li></ul> Upstream Vendor Portal: <ul><li>Be key user of BU Pilot of new external Vendor Portal solution. Drive successful Pilot, Broader roll out and adoption.</li><li>Establish current work process state, and journey map to Ideal End-Stage.</li><li>Articulation and maximization of value creation.</li><li>Skill Network and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Developing cross-BU network of Subject Matter Experts.</li><li>Sharing Best Practices, Documentation, and development of BU Upstream Playbook, including Make-Buy Decision Making, New Product Introduction (NPI), vendor changes, industrial transfers, and business acquisition.</li></ul> Risk Management:&nbsp; <ul><li>Identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities in the upstream supply chain and developing strategies to mitigate them.</li><li>Ensuring supply chain resilience and contingency planning to handle disruptions effectively.</li></ul> Continuous Improvement: <ul><li>Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.</li><li>Seeking feedback from stakeholders and leveraging lessons learned to refine strategies, establishing volution of in-process KPIs and achieve better results.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>A bachelors degree in supply chain management, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field</li><li>Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a multinational and complex global environment.</li><li>Progressively more responsibility and experience in Procurement and Factory Supply Chain Management leadership roles.</li><li>High proficiency in Vendor Management, Procurement and Material Management.</li><li>Must be a recognized leader for continuous improvement.</li><li>Abilities to drive and oversees multiple Projects End-to-End, with track record of achieving results and abilities to drive effective change management.</li><li>Competent with supply chain management software (SAP Must, IBP is a plus) and analytics tools.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire diverse teams across different locations.</li><li>Understand business drivers and able to balance between short- and long-term objectives.</li><li>Excellent ‘English’ communication skills to articulate and engage stakeholders at all levels.&nbsp;</li></ul>
