Responsibilities:Near field and wildcat exploration mapping and prospect generation throughout the Basins of Saudi Arabia.Well log interpretation and correlations using basic logs.Use of advanced log interpretations where available.Work effectively with petrophysical colleagues.Participate in reflection seismic data survey planning, 2D and 3D.Execute reflection seismic data interpretation 2D and 3D incorporating multiple surveys and vintages, onshore and marine, generating attributes as required. Well ties using synthetics and VSP.Interpret seismic, including seismic stratigraphic interpretations for subtle traps. Apply sequence stratigraphic techniques to identify subtle traps. Structural geology skills including fault interpretation and fault seal. Integrate diverse data-types to construct and promote prospects. Assess petroleum risk elements to identify viable prospects.Map making using industry standard tools.Prospect volume and risk estimates.Preparing and presenting professional-quality presentation materials to technical peers and management. Provide mentoring and technical assistance to young professionals.Requirements:Minimum of fifteen years of experience in subsurface exploration and a proven track record in prospect generation and maturation skills including broad international experience.Extensive experience in applying Clastic and Carbonate Sequence and Seismic Stratigraphy & Regional Geology using seismic and well data to analyze the subsurface at all scales relevant to petroleum systems, from the basin evolution, to the identification of stratigraphic traps and the timing of structural trap development, gross depositional environment reconstruction, reservoir potential, seal characterization and structural geology.Extensive experience in using applications relating to data interpretation, correlations, mapping and prospect generation e.g., Petrel, Petrosys.

ResponsibilitiesConduct reservoir characterization studies, including Log-to-core integration, mapping, sequence stratigraphy and conceptual 3D geological modeling (Facies and reservoir properties).Contribute to field development plans through well planning using simulation ready 3D integrated model.Perform well planning, including creating well targets data with reservoir and drilling engineers, generating well trajectories and loading the directional data, preparing geological prognosis (including but not limited to tops, cross sections and correlation panels) along with monitor operational and geo-steering activities for all types of wells (horizontal, deviated, and vertical) in the office or offsite if needed, including monitoring, geo-steering and tracking wells, performing well evaluations while and post drilling, making well correlations, generating and/or updating maps for structural, stratigraphic and fluid limits in light of the new drilling information, and making critical decisions for wellbore adjustments.Interact with concerned geoscientists in the Reservoir Characterization Department, Reservoir Engineers, and Drilling & Workover Engineers and communicate clearly with all parties involved in drilling activities, and prepare post-drilling analysis.Requirements As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from a recognized and approved program, an advanced degree is preferred.You will have 15  years of experience in Field development activities or role of development geologist.You will have the ability to integrate all available Geological, Geophysical, Petrophysical, Sedimentological, and 3D Geological model and other dynamic information for advance reservoir characterization studies to in-depth understanding for reservoir architecture and flow behavior.You will also have the ability to integrate all characterization studies to identify suitable locations for drilling.Extensive experience in subsurface mapping and be familiar of utilization of various geological applications and packages (such as DSG, Petrel, Petrosys, Geolog, Teclog etc.) is also necessary.Also, a minimum of two years’ experience in geo-steering (with triple combo log) and real-time operations is preferred.You need to be familiar with LWD and/or wireline borehole image interpretation and also with rig operations and vendor logging systems.Previous experience in reservoir geology, drilling operations, field development, sedimentology/stratigraphy or structural geology is necessary

Overview:We are seeking to hire a computational geophysicist to join the Geophysical Imaging Department that aims to provide a diverse set of geophysical solutions which illuminate the subsurface to reduce the uncertainty surrounding hydrocarbon & non-hydrocarbon activities through integrating the best talent, optimal processes and leading-edge technologies. The candidate will formulate and develop algorithms in CPU and GPU for various geophysical disciplines in collaboration with the subject matter experts. The codes are expected to be put into a production environment and used as part of the main workflow to improve the quality and efficiency of the department products. The geophysical products include but are not limited to velocity model building and depth imaging: therefore, basic knowledge in each discipline is preferable. In addition, the computational geophysicist will provide periodic updates through presentations, reports and demonstrations and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Responsibilities: Develop applications that improve the accuracy of our current geophysical modelling and inversion algorithms.Adapting scientific applications to GPU.Improve geophysical technology software documentation and user friendliness.Support existing technology in production environment.Restructure software code for efficiency and effectiveness.Stay up to date with industry technology and software trends to bring ideas to geophysical solutions.Prepare and present professional-quality presentation materials to technical peers and management.Transfer knowledge to young professionals to ensure business continuity through mentorship and documentation.Requirements: A successful candidate, would need to hold a bachelor or higher degree in Geoscience.10+ years of experience in geophysical field and/or oil and gas industry.Advance depth imaging (FWI, RTM, LSRTM) and velocity model building experience.Experience with numerical methods, parallel algorithms, MPI, and GPU programming.Proficiency in computing programming language (Fortran, C++ and/or C).English language fluency with the capability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing Excellent.

Role Description:This senior professional will be a focal point in well testing/pressure transient analysis as part of the Well Testing Division in Petroleum Engineering. He or she is expected to provide support and leadership in multi-disciplinary projects for clients from diverse organizations.Responsibilities:Have skills in pressure transient analysis (PTA) in complex well/reservoir/fluid systems– for example, ICD/ICV/Smart Completion/Multilateral/MRC/EOR/Channel/MultiPhase/Tight and Unconventional Gas.Must have excellent skills in building numerical models to study pressure-transient scenarios; for example,fault/fracture networks in heterogeneous systems, thermal effects in injection wells, etc.Competent in processing and interpreting large and real-time data from intelligent fields.Integrate PTA with petrophysical, geological, fluid properties, drilling and completion data, and operational details to build representative reservoir models.Field experiences in design, supervision and execution of exploration well testing operations are essential. Special emphasis is put on testing operations in harsh and difficult environments e.g,deep water, heavy oil, involving H2S/CO2, etc.Work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and must be experienced in conducting studies and delivering technical presentations.Prior experiences in modelling complex wells, completed over multiple, heterogeneous reservoir layers, are essential.Capable of teaching complete, structured courses on well testing.Coach young professionals to prepare them to take over difficult projects in the future. Also guide them as a career advisor.Possess track records of building complex analytical and numerical models from scratch. Skills with deriving and coding mathematical solutions for transient pressures are desirable.Experiences in building advanced transient models by calibrating geological sector models with well-test data are desirable.Be seen as a person of excellence or a subject matter expert in the area of well testing.Adapt and promote new technologies for efficiency and for improving quality of work. Responsibilities:The candidate will be required to perform the following:Exploration mapping and option generation for CO2 storage in the subsurface geology of Saudi Arabia.Have a background of CO2 properties and how they relate to depth of storage, seal effectiveness and long-term aspects of trapping mechanism, subsurface dynamics and interaction with subsurface materials such as lithologies and drilled wells.Interpret well information, making well correlations and working with petro-physicists as required to define stratigraphic frameworks and the properties of reservoirs and seals, and characterize in-situ formation water properties.Participate in the acquisition planning and possibly interpretation of geo-mechanical information, such as analysis of conventional core, relating to seal integrity for CO2 storage.Familiarity with well injection testing and operations, and interpretation of well test data in terms of reservoir performance in relation to CO2 storage.Interpret seismic, including seismic stratigraphic interpretations for storage. Understand depth conversion of seismically-mapped geological surfaces, considering velocity information and uncertainties.Map making using industry standard tools. Storage volume and risk estimates. Prepare and present professional-quality presentation materials to technical peers and management. Provide mentoring and technical assistance to young professionalsTake critical decisions and solve problems.Works in multidiscipline teams.Requirements:As a successful candidate, you would need to hold a bachelor or higher degree in Geology or Geophysics.You will have 15 years of experience in subsurface geoscience including several years of experience specifically related to geological interpretation, mapping and preferably CO2 subsurface storage option mapping, selection and site characterization, including extensive experience in applying Clastic and Carbonate Sequence and Seismic Stratigraphy and Regional Geology using seismic and well data to document all scales relevant subsurface storage option generation, ranking and characterization.as well as an extensive experience in petro-technical applications relating to the use of wells and seismic (2D and 3D) for subsurface storage geoscience, e.g., Petrel, Petrosys.  You will be competent with basic well log interpretation and familiar with advanced logs and well data such as image logs, NMR, pressures and core. Apply sequence stratigraphic techniques to identify storage opportunities.  Structural geology skills including fault interpretation and fault seal.As a subject matter expert, you will have:Experience in planning and involvement with the operational decision-making of several wells.English language fluency with the capability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing, with experience of working with multidisciplinary teams across different parts of an organization.Experience of other non-hydrocarbon subsurface management challenges such as geothermal, Hydrogen storage, chemical storage etc would be an advantage.A track record of research publications or patents would be an advantage.Excellent presentation skills.
