Job description

Role Description:


  • The Marketing Assistant role plays a pivotal role in Europe and Pacific Developed markets (EPDM) zone team. 
  • The position lies within the Growth HQ of the EPDM Zone and is located in our office in London.
  • The position reports into the Brand Lead for EPDM. 
  • This position presents an excellent opportunity for individuals currently serving in marketing assistant or coordination roles. 
  • The primary focus of the role will be on the Heinz brand, with additional responsibilities extending to support other growth brands such as Tingly Ted’s. 
  • As a Marketing Assistant you would be working alongside brand marketing, category and insight teams, ensuring successful delivery of budget forecasts, leading day-to-day team organisation, and supporting teams on big bet initiatives. 


Responsibilities:


  • Brand budgets ownership: full management of collective EPDM budgets, ensuring the successful delivery of budget forecast and supplier payments. This includes raising purchase orders on behalf of the team, and managing approvals and invoice queries. 
  • Budget reporting and analysis: monthly reporting and ad hoc analysis of team budget trackers to senior leadership. 
  • Vendor system management: work closely with the procurement team to set up new vendors, including contract & system registration and renewal. 
  • Administrative & organisation: efficiently and autonomously handle day-to-day team administrative & organisational tasks. This can include registering external visitors to the office, arranging couriers, placing sample orders, and organising team events. 
  • Support marketing team: work in partnership with the marketing teams to execute marketing plans for new launches and campaigns. Tasks can include leading internal launches, eventing, and presenting to senior management. 


Requirements:


  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, ability to use most common formulas and functions (SUM, Average, VLookup, Count and IF), create charts and graphs, and use data tools to add filters and complex sorts to a spreadsheet. Experience in creating pivot tables are a plus.     
  • Competent in Microsoft Word & Powerpoint.
  • Additional experience with other platforms such as SAP desirable.
  • Pro-active & Can-do mentality.
  • Proficiency in English, other European languages are a plus.
