Responsibilities:
Sector Expertise and Analysis:
- Specialize in the Textiles and Gems & Jewellery sectors, with additional expertise in the Pharma sector as an added advantage.
- Continuously analyze and track trends, performance, and key developments within the assigned sectors.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Regularly interact with clients to provide updates on industry trends, research insights, and the impact of significant industry events.
- Present sector-related findings and research in meetings and presentations tailored to clients’ needs.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and oversee the work of 1-2 analysts, ensuring high-quality outputs and supporting their career development and alignment with organizational goals.
Product and Report Leadership:
- Lead the development of new products, thematic reports, and bespoke assignments related to macroeconomic and sectoral topics.
- Ensure process compliance and adherence to research calendars.
Research & Reporting:
- Publish periodic updates, articles, and presentations on the performance and key trends of the Textiles and Gems & Jewellery sectors.
- Regularly compile and assess the performance of leading companies within these sectors.
Sector Monitoring and Analysis:
- Continuously monitor key data, demand-supply trends, price movements, and trade dynamics within the Textiles and Gems & Jewellery sectors.
- Analyze and evaluate macroeconomic and sector-specific factors that influence sector performance.
Client Interaction and Reporting:
- Provide clients with regular updates on sectoral trends, research findings, and opinions.
- Present research reports and sector-specific presentations to clients, offering insights into industry developments.
Management of Research and Reports:
- Lead thematic research reports and bespoke projects tailored to client needs, ensuring that all deliverables are of the highest quality and relevance.
- Ensure research deliverables are completed in line with the research calendar and deadlines.
Team Management:
- Supervise 1-2 analysts, ensuring their work meets the desired quality standards and that they receive guidance and support for their professional development.
- Help analysts meet their individual career goals within the framework of the team and organizational objectives.
Compliance and Process Adherence:
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, guidelines, and timelines related to research activities.
- Actively contribute to ensuring that all research projects are executed according to standards and expectations.
Requirements:
- Education Qualification: Post Graduate Degree (preferably in Finance, Business, or a related field).
- CA (Chartered Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) qualifications are highly preferred.
- Minimum Experience:5 years of relevant experience in financial research, client interaction, and sector-specific expertise in Textiles, Gems, and Jewellery.
- Maximum Experience:10 years of experience is preferred to ensure a solid foundation of industry knowledge and expertise.
- Textiles: Deep understanding of the textiles industry, including market trends, production processes, and key drivers.
- Gems and Jewellery: Extensive knowledge of the gems and jewellery sector, including market dynamics, product valuation, and industry standards.
- Client Interaction: Experience in client relationship management, engaging with existing clients, and building long-term partnerships.
- Proven ability to pitch to new clients, tailor solutions based on client needs, and drive business development.
- Financial Research: Strong ability to conduct industry-specific financial research to analyze market conditions, financial performance, and investment opportunities in the Textiles and Gems & Jewellery sectors.
- Familiarity with industry reports, financial models, and market trend analysis.
- Valuation: Expertise in valuing companies and assets in the Textiles and Gems & Jewellery sectors.
- Knowledge of various valuation methods such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Company Analysis (CCA), and precedent transactions.
