Job description

Responsibilities:


  • Leverage structured new product development process and stage gate frameworks to lead project activities from initial research & development throughout the entire project development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with internal global cross-functional engineering teams and subject matter experts as well as external technical partners such as design houses and fab/foundry partners to plan and develop project scope, deliverables, required resources, detailed work breakdown structure, project budget, costing analysis, risk mitigation plans and project timing.
  • Keep projects on track and ensure timely completion within the defined scope, accountable for successfully meeting or exceeding commitments on product performance, product cost, cycle time, project cost and quality.
  • Work in conjunction with Engineering, Product Management, Business Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Finance and Sales
  • Conduct regular frequency of project meetings, maintain action RAIL, document all information and ensure meeting minutes and all data and information is appropriately shared.
  • Regularly publish progress status reports to leadership and stakeholders highlighting achievements, milestone deliveries and associated metrics
  • Proactively communicate escalations around challenges, gaps, support required and resource needs to quickly address issues before they impede successful delivery of the program.
  • Understand, track and articulate issues / risks / action items; work with responsible owners to address the items on a timely basis; update the appropriate stakeholders as needed.
  • Continuous risk assessment and problem resolution; apply change management, risk management and resource management best practices.
  • Constantly assess what is working, what is not working, identify areas for improvement and consistently drive continuous improvement


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Integrated Circuit Design, Physics or Equivalent)
  • 12+ years of technical project management experience including full lifecycle developments (initial research & development though series launch) with automotive electronics, integrated circuits, and sensors
  • Experience in all aspects of the design, development and deployment of ICs and Mixed Signal ASICs … System Specification, Architectural Design, Analog & Digital Design, Functional Verification, Circuit Design & Synthesis, Mixed-Signal Verification, Physical Design, Physical Verification & Signoff, Fabrication, Packaging & Test, Qualification & Release
  • Experience with supplier management and working with external technical partners such as design houses and fab/foundry partners, conducting regular design reviews, process & product audits, quality reviews, etc.
  • Experience with requirements definition, defining project scope and managing scope creep, identifying and mitigating risks, identifying and managing critical dependencies.
  • Experience leading global technology and product development teams in a cross-functional, multi-site environment to deliver projects with multiple dependencies and constraints.
  • Exceptional fluency in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with leadership, stakeholders, cross functional teams (engineering, product management, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, finance, sales) and subject matter experts.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions when presented with a series of challenges, conflicts and constraints.
  • Ability to drive to big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining strong attention to the details.
  • Willingness to travel as required, ~25%
