Tech Lead Power BI

Job Details:

• Deliver guidelines for Power BI reports based on Direct Query
• Achieve PBI Capacity stability to support IT Solutions and Community solutions
• Migrate/remediate existing reports to adhere to issued guidelines

Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise on data visualization best practices and guide the selection of appropriate visuals for maximum impact
• Monitor and manage premium capacity metrics and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Optimize DAX queries for optimal performance and efficiency
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders from administrative perspective
• Stay abreast of the latest Power BI features and functionalities to continuously improve reporting capabilities
• Design and develop complex Power BI reports and dashboards using DirectQuery (minimal import), catering to diverse business needs
• Build and maintain robust data models to ensure data consistency and integrity

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science OR related technical degree OR equivalent experience
• Direct Query and Capacity Management experience
• Strong Power BI experience with GCP
• 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and data analysis.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions using Power BI.
• Expert-level DAX knowledge with proven experience in optimizing complex queries.
• Proficiency in using DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and Performance Analyzer for development and optimization.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with CI/CD for Power BI deployment pipelines.
• Experience with GCP: BigQuery, BI Engine & Looker
