Job description

Responsibilities:


  • Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors.
  • They design, recommend revisions, and install quality control systems, develop, and document analytical methods for establishing the reliability of products and their components, and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. 
  • They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing
  • standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, products, and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action, and customer communication.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) and reliability standards.
  • Design and conduct tests to validate product quality, performance, and durability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of product defects, failures, or non-conformance issues.
  • Ensure products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, ASTM, or other applicable certifications).


Requirements:


  • 10 or more years of experience in Quality or Reliability Engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality tools, practices, and procedures.
  • 8D investigational experience required, including disposition of non-conforming materials, identification of root cause, and driving corrective action
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000, and preferably AS9100.
  • MILSPEC experience required
  • Testing and reporting requirements.
  • Plating process knowledge preferred
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) inspection experience
  • Process control knowledge.
  • Ability to use testing and measurement equipment.
  • Successfully worked in a team environment assisting various departments requiring consistent quality assurance systems to succeed.
  • Ability to influence and drive cross-functional teamwork and work well with internal and external customers and other cultures.
  • Highly Desirable: Knowledge & experience in acceptance and reliability testing of connectors or similar devices
