Job description

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategies to align organizational and departmental objectives.
  • Oversee performance requirements, manage budgets, and administer project schedules.
  • Assess risk and ensure compliance within projects handled by the team.
  • Mentor engineers, fostering growth and nurturing talent within the organization.
  • Resolve technical and operational challenges impacting the high-speed cable assembly team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, product management, and field engineering.
  • Plan and execute special projects to improve workflow efficiency and enhance capabilities.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers to gather insights and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Establish and utilize technical networks within and outside the organization. Contribute to industry standards for high-speed cable assembly products.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 12+ years of engineering product development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering management. Industry experience in connectors and cable assembly preferred, especially high-speed cable assemblies.
  • Full product development lifecycle experience, from customer requirements to production release. Proficiency in 3D CAD, CAE applications, and GD&T.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including PCB, bulk cable, stamping, molding, plating, and assembly.
  • Experience in design for manufacturability to meet mechanical, environmental, electrical, and cost requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and cross-functional team collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and accountability in a global work environment.
