Role Description:

• We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for one of our established clients for their Accounting & Pension department.
• You will be the contact person for a wide range of financial issues, especially in the area of accounting according to German commercial law (HGB) and in the management of our pension fund.

Responsibilities:

• You will support the preparation of annual financial statements under commercial law for all companies domiciled in Germany and Austria.
• You will support the audit of the annual financial statements by our auditors.
• You will work together with the tax department and support both balance sheet tax processes and tax audits.
• You will coordinate and accompany cross-departmental processes in connection with commercial law requirements (e.g. fixed assets).
• You will be a competent contact person for the local marketing and sales departments for the introduction of new commercial processes with regard to financial requirements and their implementation.
• You will look after our intra-group pension fund (CTA) and support the Management Board in a wide range of tasks, such as cooperation with the capital management company, the asset managers and our client central pensions department.
• You will work very closely with our Shared Service Center (IBS) on many topics on an international level.
• You will work on local and international financial projects.

Requirements:

• A successfully completed degree in economics with a corresponding focus on accounting (HGB, US GAAP or IFRS), corporate finance or corporate treasury.
• Ideally, a professional exam (Accountant, Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)).
• At least 3 - 5 years of professional experience in the financial or accounting sector, ideally in an international industrial company or in an auditing firm.
• Very good knowledge of accounting regulations under commercial law.
• Strong analytical understanding and a high affinity for numbers and systems
• Very high ability to work in a team and strong communication skills.
• Independent, structured and proactive way of working as well as holistic thinking
• High level of self-motivation.
• Confident handling of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint and, ideally, knowledge of SAP/R3.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
