Senior BI Developer - International

Responsibilities:

• Foster a culture of teamwork across the IT team and the organization
• Mentor junior team members through their project delivery, support and customer service
• Document reporting specifications as designated by the reporting consumer
• Develop requisite reporting solutions
• Shares responsibility in development of semantic models and data flows
• Document and maintain governance information regarding data and objects in the reporting enterprise
• Develop and assist in delivery of education material on tool and reporting object use
• Analyze usage of reporting objects in the reporting enterprise
• Shares responsibility with the greater BI team for ensuring quality and integrity of data in the data warehouse, ensuring consistency and synchronization between systems
• Shares responsibility for maintenance and ensuring optimal performance of BI systems and tools
• Perform requisite support of the BI Platform in line with Service Level Agreements, which may require 24/7 on-call support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred - Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related Discipline  
• Coursework in Statistics and/or Data Visualization desired
• 6-9 years working with Microsoft’s analytic tools (Power BI) with working knowledge of environment administration.
• Participation in 4+ full lifecycle implementations involving new analytic capabilities and/or new data; at least 2 of the implementations in the capacity of the Lead for the reporting initiatives.
• Working knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Gen 2, SQL, Power Automate, Power BI, Fabric
• Translate business reporting requirements into technical specifications for EDW members
• Ability to facilitate interactive design and functional specification sessions
• Strong analytical problem-solving, and conceptual skills
• Demonstrated track record in new concept development for a variety of projects and complex analytic artifacts
• Passionate to share ideas, work with and mentor other members to ensure the success of the team
• Solid communication skills (verbal, written, listening) and the ability to interact with all levels of company customers and members
• Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
• Customer-focused service attitude
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to meet objectives and day-to-day task management
• Excellent technical documentation skills
