Senior Accounting Manager

Job Purpose:

• A Senior Accounting Manager is a key finance leader responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and managing financial reporting processes.
• This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of financial records, optimizing accounting procedures, and supporting business decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain compliance with tax regulations, audits, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Supervise daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Implement and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of accounts and financial accuracy.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Manage and mentor accounting staff, ensuring professional growth and performance.
• Establish accounting policies and procedures to enhance team efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits.
• Ensure adherence to internal and external audit requirements.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks through strong accounting practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for financial analysis and decision support.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to present financial insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
