Job description

Responsibilities:


  • To focus, penetrate and grow range of products in the biopharma and related sector business in Japan. 
  • (Target: 60% new customers and 40% existing customers). 
  • Well verse in biopharmaceutical processes like media and buffer preparation, cell culture and fermentation, purification, single use technologies, IQOQ, etc. and able to communicate with target customer technically at similar level 
  • Develop networks with major Biopharmaceuticals customer in Japan. 
  • Able to communicate in English with regional and global team for support and conference call. 
  • To provide customers the most suitable equipment selection for the required application and the process. 
  • To offer solutions that satisfy any application/budget/timescale constraints in line with customers’ needs. 
  • To monitor the progression of any relevant job/project through purchasing, shipment to successful commissioning. 
  • Conduct sales call and visits to seek business opportunities with prospective customers 
  • Provide monthly sales and service activity report to the Sales leader. 
  • To generate trip report and update regularly on sector business. 
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets and growth. 
  • Responsible for ensuring and maintaining high customer satisfaction 
  • Participate in corporate sales planning and strategies 
  • Attend to customers’ queries, site meetings, and carry out site survey whenever required 
  • Liaise closely with Operation team to ensure job requirement are met 
  • Preparation and submission of project tenders or RFQs 
  • Monthly sales reporting to Management 
  • To strengthen customer relationships with existing customers and develop business relationships with new customers 
  • Able to provide sales forecast and work with country Manager to achieve targets.


Requirements: 


  • Ability to energize others, communicate and foster relationships with customers and colleagues. 
  • Must be a team player. 
  • Resilience in fault finding and problem-solving situations, driven by optimism. 
  • Prioritizing workload 
  • Able to work independently when needed to achieve targets. 
  • To take on additional role or tasks when require. 
  • Working with Ethics in accordance procedural guidelines in a methodical manner 
  • Engineering degree or relevant in Biopharma business with 5 years at least experience in sales and technical. 
  • Strong/ Above average commercial acumens 
  • Formal relevant engineering, biopharma and/ or business qualifications 
  • Experience in Biopharma business industry is required. 
  • Must continue to grow with existing and upcoming technology in an effort to become increasingly efficient
