Our Client operates in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry, with its headquarters rooted strongly in Singapore. It has its branches spread to more than 5 countries, providing employment to 250 people. Their core business is to represent their client in countries that they do not operate in, and market/sell their products for them. They have achieved a wide client base in a very short time, and are looking for new talent.

Job description

Responsibilities:


Supply Chain Strategy & Management:


  • Develop and implement regional supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery across all export markets.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, ensuring smooth export processes.
  • Oversee the management of regional distribution centers (Singapore and Malaysia) and logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries to international customers.


Export Management & Compliance:


  • Manage all aspects of export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, export documentation requirements, and customs procedures.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory bodies to ensure shipments are cleared promptly and efficiently.
  • Stay current on global export laws, tariffs, and trade restrictions, advising senior management on potential impacts to the supply chain.


Vendor & Stakeholder Management:


  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, shipping partners, and third-party logistics providers to ensure service excellence and cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (sales, finance, production, etc.) to align supply chain operations with business goals and customer requirements.


Inventory & Demand Planning:


  • Ensure that regional inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.
  • Work closely with demand planning and sales teams to forecast export demand accurately and plan supply accordingly.
  • Manage inventory distribution to various international markets to balance supply and demand while minimizing transportation costs.


Performance Monitoring & Reporting:


  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain operations, including delivery lead times, export compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management, identifying opportunities for improvement and addressing any supply chain disruptions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance regional supply chain performance.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in supply chain management with a focus on export operations, international logistics, and trade compliance.
  • Proven expertise in managing the complexities of export logistics, including customs clearance, freight forwarding, and export documentation.
  • Strong understanding of global trade regulations, including import/export restrictions, tariffs, and international shipping standards.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with external partners to drive efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
