Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the project management of localized TREX sets - new launches.
• Lead the TREX development process, manage the projects to be on time, on cost, on quality, with sustainability footprint.
• Plan, execute and oversee business about the project status, alert on the risk and deliver the industrial solution with flexibility.
• Collaborate with Brand/ Marketing teams to build TREX launch plans by incorporating profitability, scheduling, time to market (TTM), quality of execution, and achieving sustainability targets.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure flawless execution on project planning.
• Accountable for the artwork development of packaging, study with external supplier on industrial feasibility to meet with group compliance requirement and design targets.
• Verify and monitor the product quality by defining the packaging & finished goods (FG) specification. Conduct the Packaging & FG homologation tests, validate samples and production pieces.
• Implement innovation and eco-solutions on the packaging design - drive the sustainability progress for the brand, from conception to production.
• Develop and build together with the brands outcome-based product roadmaps that align with strategic goals, execute on sustainability, innovation and improvement plans.
• Ensure regular data updates and compliance with launch and artwork workflows.
• Provide technical support on quality management, regulatory compliance and new supplier integration.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree. Engineering background highly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant project management or product development.
• Experience in Beauty/ Cosmetics, FMCG or Printing/ Packaging industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of product development process, printing technology, manufacturing flow, and quality management.
• Good understanding of FMCG or beauty industry, sensitivity to products and brands.
• Good communication skills and stakeholder management, collaborative and problem solving mindset, fast learner, resilient to achieve project deadlines.
• Able to work across global site locations and time zones in a multi-cultural environment.
• Fluent in English, bilingual (Mandarin) is preferred due to extensive engagement with stakeholders and suppliers from China
