Job description

Responsibilities:


Leadership & Team Management:


  • Lead and mentor a globally based team of 4-6 direct reports and 20-40 indirect reports. Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to drive team performance and individual growth.


Deduction Management:


  • Oversee and resolve customer deductions across various regions. Identify and address the root causes of deductions, including pricing discrepancies, overages, shortages, damages, and billing issues.
  • Ensure that the team meets established KPIs and SLAs.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:


  • Partner with internal and external customers, including senior management, to resolve issues, identify trends, and promote solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT.


Process Optimization & Automation:


  • Lead efforts to enhance the efficiency of the deduction management process, including implementing process improvements, software automation, and AI-driven tools to minimize errors and reduce processing times.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):


  • Drive the achievement of KPIs like Days Deductions Outstanding (DDO), Deductions as % of A/R Balance, and Invalid Deductions. Ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds established performance goals.


Strategy Development & Execution:


  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with company goals and metrics. Work with Global Invoice-to-Cash partners to standardize processes and enhance transaction accuracy.


People Development & Mentorship:


  • Foster a high-performing team culture through coaching, mentorship, and recognition. Promote continuous learning and career growth within the team.


Audit & Compliance:


  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, SOX, and audit requirements. Oversee timely completion of audits and reporting requirements.


Requirements:


Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (6+ years) in finance, accounting, or a related field with demonstrated leadership capabilities.


Experience:


  • 4+ years of experience in Deduction Management, Invoice-to-Cash (ITC) processes, and Accounts Receivable (A/R) management. Proven experience in leading teams and collaborating cross-functionally.


Skills:


  • Expertise in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Knowledge of trade spend management and deduction validation processes.
  • Leadership Abilities:
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on people management, team development, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to lead and influence others, driving continuous improvement and change.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Some travel and overtime may be required to meet business needs.
