Lead UI Engineer

Role Description:

• We are seeking a UI Lead to help create our next-generation products that satisfy our customer’s needs.
• The UI Lead will use their deep professional knowledge and an understanding of the customer environment to propose and develop new and innovative solutions to customer problems.
• They will use their understanding of applied engineering, product lifecycle and technology advancement to help align and solve problems across multiple product lines using similar technology.
• The successful candidate will be hands on and curious with a focus on technology, remote collaboration, the application of engineering principles, and the ability to influence cross functionally to achieve department goals.
• This role will report to the Technical Program Manager and will work from our Pune office

Responsibilities:

• Define the infrastructure and the software architecture for the React-based Front End related to a specific set of products and projects.
• Act as a lead and a mentor to offshore teams, including code review, best practices, architecting, product thinking, and code quality.
• Develop platform software and collaborate across engineering groups to maximize the use of common emerging platform technologies, conventions, technological building blocks.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Architects and Product Owners from various teams and Executive leaders to define the business and technical strategy.
• Collaborate with global engineering leads at various businesses to establish and drive adoption of conventions and innovation.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors or higher degree in a related technical field (Electrical, Electronics Engineering/Computer Engineering)
• 8+ Years in front end development
• 5+ years in architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of a micro front end that consumes high distributed service-oriented architectures, having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, scalability and security.
• Experience with UI and UX concepts using modular and reusable UI components.
• Experience with refactoring large code bases using safe techniques.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines. DevOps and Devsecops, version control, and system testing with Gitlab and Jenkins
• Experience creating and obtaining actionable insights from Datadog, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Experienced with programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript, CSS, React.js, GO
• Willingness to learn and teach complex technologies.
