Job description
Responsibilities:
- Provide management and asset reporting, forecasting, budgeting and on asset management.
- Assist management to ensure business practices and processes are in line with good corporate governance. Be mindful of potential areas of exposure, identify them and work with the business to address control gaps and mitigate risks.
- Lead IT Assets team, ensuring day-to-day functions on the recording of newly acquired tangible and intangible fixed assets is well managed.
- Provide guidance to the business on asset capitalisation policy and drive timely commissioning of tech fresh assets.
- Review inventory turnover and follow up with the business to take actions to ensure healthy turnover.
- Lead the inventory sighting exercise, to ensure proper procedures are adhered to and reconciliation of stock values are performed and reviewed on a timely manner.
- Address IT asset needs queries which include hardware, software and mobile line; and collaborate with IT to address Business needs.
- Drive continuous process improvements, including system changes, streamlining of processes and automation projects.
- Keep a comprehensive record of all assets related data in a proper record keeping (e.g. SNOW, spreadsheets).
- Make analysis based on the collected data, focusing on trends, gaps & logical examines.
- Develop, implement, communicate, maintain the IT Asset Management standards, processes, and procedures.
- Manage asset discovery processes to ensure up to date and accurate inventory.
- Ensure that adequate governance is in place and the processes are being executed successfully.
- Identify and monitor key risk areas such as technology obsolescence and ensure audit compliance for the in-scope IT Assets
- Review and streamline the Asset and Configuration Management processes on a regular basis for efficiency and effectiveness ensuring any agreed changes to the processes are properly approved and communicated.
- Plan and manage yearly IT asset verification exercise.
- Manage, track and report on all the in-scope IT assets.
- Manage, track and report on mobile lines and other telco services
- Guide and educate the Data Owners/Custodians and teams involved in the daily administration of the asset management related activities.
- English language proficiency – verbal and written communication
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in IT Asset Management.
