Job description

Responsibilities:


Developer Experience:


  • Lead initiatives to improve the overall developer experience, including tools, workflows, and working environment.
  • Implement best practices for software development processes, ensuring efficiency and high-quality outputs.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from developers to continuously refine their work environment and tools.


Internal Systems Optimization:


  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of internal systems that support development, including CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and collaboration tools. Ensure internal systems are reliable, scalable, and meet the evolving needs of the development teams.
  • Work with IT and operations teams to integrate and maintain internal systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and optimize current productivity tools and technologies used by the IT team, including collaboration platforms, project management tools, and communication systems. Lead the implementation and integration of new productivity tools and technologies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for tool usage, documentation, and project management.


Change Management and Training:


  • Drive change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new tools, processes, and methodologies.
  • Create and deliver training programs and resources to educate the IT team on productivity tools and best practices.
  • Gather feedback from IT team members and address any challenges related to new tools or processes.


Collaboration and Communication Improvement:


  • Enhance collaboration and communication within the IT team and across departments by implementing effective strategies and tools.
  • Facilitate regular meetings, workshops, and forums to encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Monitor productivity metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on the effectiveness of productivity initiatives.
  • Analyze productivity data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for further improvement.


Innovation and Continuous Improvement:


  • Stay informed & updated about industry trends and advancements in developer tools, internal systems, and COTS solutions, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT team, encouraging innovative approaches to problem-solving and process optimization.


Strategic Leadership:


  • Develop and execute a strategy for improving developer experience, internal systems, and COTS implementations, aligned with the company’s technology and business objectives. Develop and implement strategies to enhance workplace productivity for the IT team, focusing on tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Identify key productivity metrics and develop initiatives to improve these metrics in alignment with the bank’s objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between IT teams and other departments to ensure alignment and address challenges related to developer productivity and internal systems.
  • Assess and recommend productivity tools and technologies that align with the company's goals and improve operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain documentation and training materials to support the effective use of internal systems, tools, and COTS solutions.


Team Leadership and Collaboration:


  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals focused on developer experience, internal systems, and COTS solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the team and with other departments, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to development tools, internal systems, and COTS solutions.

Requirements:


  • Education Qualification: Graduation: Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) Post-graduation: Master’s degree in engineering Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience
