Responsibilities:
Risk Assessment and Control Design:
- Work with the Teams to develop sustainable policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws and Group referentials, strengthen internal controls and promote standardization of processes.
- Leads the yearly Internal Control self-assessment campaign (SMART).
- Identify the main control gaps and business partner with the process owners to formulate pragmatic, practical solutions and recommendations.
- Defines and manages the Entity’s Internal Control roadmap.
Testing and Monitoring:
- Review supporting documents submitted by process owners, challenge declarations/ratings and performs substantive tests to validate the accuracy of process owners’ self-assessments.
- Perform routine checks as an independent reviewer of business processes to ensure the continuous operating effectiveness of key controls.
- Document test findings and work with process owners to develop remediation plans for identified control deficiencies.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare clear and concise presentations for senior management and relevant stakeholders on the status of internal controls, identified risks and remediation efforts.
- Communicate and business partner effectively with all process owners to provide guidance on control implementations and improvements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal control environment.
- Actively contribute to process continuous improvement initiatives.
Training and Support:
- Leverage the Group tools and referentials (e.g., charters, standards, and systems) to provide insights on critical issues to be taken in consideration.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on internal control concepts, policies, and procedures.
- Promote and activate a strong internal control culture across the Entity.
- Shares initiatives with Group and Zone Internal Control Departments.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in financial or business roles with a focus on internal control, process reviews/improvement (e.g., Internal Control, Internal Audit, or a similar role).
- Experience with Enterprise Risk Management would be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence all levels in the Entity.
- Systems oriented. Knowledge of SAP and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
- Able to work independently and possesses a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
