Job description

Responsibilities:


Product Strategy and Development:


  • Define and implement global product strategies aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, including new product development, upgrades, and phase-outs.
  • Identify and evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to guide innovation.
  • Develop annual business plan for assigned cluster on how to achieve sales and margin targets.
  • Define the portfolio and technology roadmap that aligns with business strategy for sustainable growth
  • Work with cross functions to define sales, marketing, engineering and operation plans to achieve financial goals and profitable growth.


Market Analysis and Positioning:


  • Conduct global market research to identify opportunities and potential barriers.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and positioning strategies for the product portfolio.
  • Monitor industry advancements and emerging technologies to ensure competitive advantage.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking with market leaders.


Stakeholder Collaboration:


  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to deliver products that meet performance, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Partner with global sales and marketing teams to drive product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Act as the key contact for customer feedback and requirements, translating insights into actionable plans.


Financial and Performance Management:


  • Define product pricing and revenue models to achieve business objectives.
  • Track and report on product performance, including sales data, market share, and profitability.
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses for new initiatives.


Global Travel and Representation:


  • Travel globally to meet customers, attend trade shows, and gather insights into regional market dynamics.
  • Represent the company in industry forums and conferences as a thought leader.


Team Management:


  • Lead and build high performance cluster PM team that is able to deliver according to the growth plan.
  • Manage, energize and motivate a multi-cultural team of product managers located around the globe
  • Build, coach and develop individuals and teams to move towards a market oriented, high performance group


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Specialization in automation or mechatronics is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, preferably in the machinery or automation sector.
  • Proven track record of managing international products and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of the electronics manufacturing industry and automation solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial insights to understand implications of key financial and quantitative indicators; manages overall financial performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively across cultures and disciplines.
  • Proficiency in product lifecycle tools.
