Financial Reporting and Accounting Lead

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the general accounting of the business unit, providing leadership, mentorship to colleagues, and fostering a collaborative work environment to drive performance and professional development.
• Oversee daily financial data entry in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
• Prepare and post journal entries and manage general ledger account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are accurately captured. Prepare detailed financial data for management review and facilitate necessary adjustments.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, providing insightful variance analysis and reports that deliver actionable insights for informed decision-making.
• Review and present financial reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial data and streamline reporting processes.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the general accounting function, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals and risk management strategies.
• Develop ad-hoc reports and support special projects, such as financial data analysis and process improvements.
• Lead the annual budgeting of SGA and COS departments costs and help providing insightful data for an accurate forecast.
• Provide support on Annual Statutory Audit of the financial statements, as well as support for tax and transfer price documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• 4 - 7 years of relevant experience with general accounting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with financial software and Oracle, Hyperion
• Solid regional accounting knowledge (i.e., US GAAP and IFRS)
• Fluency in English both spoken and written, is required.
• Preferred qualifications and experience:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field or Chartered Accountant designation
