Our partners is looking for a (Sr.) Consent Manager to strengthen its Offshore Consenting team in the Netherlands.
- The Offshore Consenting team is an international team with representation in all our partners key markets. We are involved throughout the offshore wind value chain, from pre-tender, through the tendering phase, project delivery, and throughout the operational phase.
- We are responsible for securing permits for our partners offshore wind portfolio, and for enabling permit compliance during project delivery and operations.
- In the Netherlands, our partners and its partners are operating the 1.5GW Hollandse Kust Zuid project, and have just secured rights to develop the 2GW Zeevonk project.
- Beyond our current portfolio, we see an exciting pipeline of future opportunities in this core offshore wind market.
Responsibilities:
- As (Sr.) Consent Manager in Offshore Wind, you will play a pivotal role in enabling our offshore wind projects in the Netherlands.
- You will act as a coordinator and problem solver within the organization, working together with different teams and disciplines.
- In addition you will be a key contact person externally towards authorities.
- As Consent Manager you will have the opportunity to work across all stages of the project including project development, delivery and operations.
Your tasks may include:
- Analyze Consenting requirements, risks and opportunities to support project selection.
- Deliver and implement a Consenting Strategy in development projects to support bid preparation.
Obtain Consent
- Understand, anticipate and communicate which permits, laws and regulations are applicable to our projects.
- Ensure timely application for and receipt of permits needed to ensure our projects run smoothly.
Enable Consent Compliance
- Actively track and manage our permit requirements and commitments.
- Work with project teams and packages to enable full permit compliance of their respective scopes.
- Engage with and report to permitting authorities (e.g. RVO, KGG, RWS, SodM) as required or beneficial to the project.
Steer Consent
- Monitor and anticipate regulatory developments with a potential impact on our permits.
- Contribute to regulatory developments directly through consultations, or via our industry associations or interest groups.
Requirements:
- You have an analytical mindset coupled with strong project management-, communication- and interpersonal skills.
- You are able to structure and process complex information and discern implications for our business. You can communicate clearly and with authority to stakeholders of varying backgrounds and seniority.
- Your project management skills enable you to plan and deliver at high quality within agreed timelines.
- You have experience working in international and multidisciplinary teams and thrive in a dynamic environments, skillfully managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Your excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills allow you to build and maintain positive relationships across diverse teams.
- You can work well independently and in collaboration with others, and have the dedication to see a task through despite challenges.
- Above all, you consistently prioritize health and safety in all aspects of your work.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in the fields of renewable energy, environmental science, sustainability, spatial planning, public administration or another relevant field.
- Knowledge of (offshore) environmental and spatial planning regulations.
- Ideally you have relevant professional experience (min. 3 - 5 years) in permit management for offshore wind projects in the Netherlands in a developer, governmental or consultant role.
- Alternatively you have gained (permit management) experience in other renewable energy, or other large infrastructure-, industrial-, or construction projects.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch (native or near-native) and English (full working proficiency).
