Job description
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Remittance Team in Malaysia Hub to ensure the highest processing standards are consistently attained.
- Plan, review, organize and supervise the functioning of Remittance processing – daily activities, management of volumes and transaction processing, hiring, and training of resources etc.
- Process and/or approve Remittance requests with accuracy and within established SLA in compliance with regulatory laws, internal policy and procedures.
- Ensure all SLA’s / KPI’s as agreed with the Singapore team are duly met and active steps taken to ensure consistency in delivery.
- Ensure all controls – Start of day, intraday and End of day are meticulously followed, and evidence kept of the same.
- Implement and maintain a high standard of operations control and compliance to always protect the Group’s and Clients’ interests.
- Ensure all operations managed by the team are always ‘audit worthy’ and will pass scrutiny of the various 1st, 2nd and 3rd lines of defence teams.
- Ensure escalations are raised to the Singapore team on a timely basis, as required.
- Manage the key operational risk indicators of the team and maintain within acceptable levels.
- Ensure any complaints and queries from the Singapore team (including from Business Units) are handled on a timely basis without recurrence.
- Review all People aspects of the team – optimally trained, motivated team who can deliver as per SLA requirements. Provide guidance to staff as required on all technical and non-technical requirements, as needed
- Participate in projects and discussions with the Singapore team, as required.
- Strong commitment and drive to Eliminate, Simplify and Automate process.
- Other tasks as directed by Department Head.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma holder
- At least 5 years relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of Inward/Outward Remittance .
- Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
- Sound judgement and initiative.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and a team player.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills. Those with working experience with Excel VBA, Macros will have an added advantage.
- Must be able to work on public holidays, when required.
