Job description

Responsibilities: 


  • Establish strategic direction and drive the team to follow in an effective and simple framework for respective BU and regions
  • Define Training Strategy per Brand in Travel Retail Asia perimeter, adapt modules per countries based on specific needs in connection with commercial team
  • Monitor feedback, comprehend, and articulate impact of implemented training activities to the business
  • Elevate and transform education approach to cater to learners’ behaviour to maximize learning outcome while accelerating O+O learning landscape
  • Align internally (GM, Marketing and Commercial) and work closely with DMI for TR relevant training materials and service excellence activations (e.g. Service Menu) to cater elevated business needs in TR APAC
  • Lead companies Fragrance Captaincy education projects with cross-divisions retail
  • education teams to drive overall fragrance business and market share
  • Foster and lead Regional Fragrance Taskforce to better understand the market and consumer preferences and transform the learnings into Fragrance development plans to maximize business opportunities across APAC and Generic Fragrance Areas, while enabling peer-learning opportunities On board, manage and upskill Education Managers on relevant skills and knowledge based on evolving business needs
  • Identify opportunities regarding business development, as a result, translate insights into R&E strategy
  • Develop talent capability through comprehensive team composition, delegation of tasks and authorities in the team, performance management, and development, succession planning, and talent diversity
  • Ensure Retail Excellence at the POS, define specific Retail and Education action
  • plans to consumers based on Global Shopper approach with Marketing / Commercial / Global shopper teams to guarantee brand image at the POS in connection with relevant departments (e.g. Marketing, Commercial ,Merchandising)
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial for annual event and on-counter activation plans and counter tool development to ensure the best in-class
  • consumer journey and increase brand awareness
  • Manage conflicts and negotiations professionally with multi perspective considerations
  • Define specific actions plans and modules and implement in the POS inconnection with Commercial team
  • Balance budget across APAC with P&L impact in view of business needs
  • Manage Budget of Retail and Education per brand in their training costs (trips, gifts, uniforms…) and training tools
  • Recruit, develop and manage team. Act as a trusted advisor to GM, to demonstrate R&E expertise/authority to achieve strategic business priorities


Requirements: 


  • Bachelor’s degree or above preferable in Business, Marketing or related discipline or equivalent professional certification
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience as Retail Manager or Education Manager in cosmetics and retail environment
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills is a must
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Capacity to motivate, coach and train staff, as well as to identify opportunities and propose action plans
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity and people development track record
  • Proven track record of developing processes and standards that enable operational efficiency
  • Strong sense of aesthetic sensibility and creativity, preferably having an in-depth product and brand knowledge
  • High sense of luxury and service excellence is highly preferred
  • Good understanding of FMCG or beauty industry
