Job description

Responsibilities:


As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:


  • Install, maintain and repair piping systems in an industrial facility, including pipework, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers and ancillary equipment.
  • Determine the nature of repairs to be made and replacement parts required.
  • Perform cut, thread, bend, join, remove, install and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel and non-metallic pipe fittings.
  • Remove, repair and install tubes in heat exchangers and condensers.
  • Clean, and repair boiler tubes and burners as well as install, expand and plug boiler tubes.
  • Perform minor rigging operations and assist rigging crew on large lifting operation.
  • Perform piping hydro-test.


Requirements:


  • You must hold an associate degree in mechanical and fabrication engineering from a recognized and approved program an advanced degree is preferred.
  • You must have a minimum of eight years’ experience with providing work direction, technical guidance, and supervision for work crews in the fabrication, welding, and repair of plant pressure vessels, piping, and auxiliary equipment.
  • You must have a full understanding and adherence of all work permit type requirements.
  • You must have a full understanding of all field mechanic and fabrication principles.
  • You should be able to demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of piping and construction installation.
