Job description

The Role:

 

  • The Technology Portfolio Manager (TPM) will be responsible to establish an overall project / program overview for the Division and work with the respective GBS-IT, DXG and Business Unit teams to seek support and approval.
  • They will work with each of the LR / DXG BRM’s to get the oversight and insight in all requirements, timelines, and budget constraints. 
  • The TPM will work with the GBS-IT PMO to establish a BCD, Program/Project plan for each of the requirements and be accountable to establish an overarching portfolio view for the Division. 
  • The TPM will assist the respective BRM’s to help prioritize GBS’ agenda for the corresponding Business unit. He or she will work closely with the GBS-IT PMO and other PM functions in GBS to help driving the GBS programs forward (like DR, J2C, Security, OPEX and WPT) and make these an integral part of the Divisional project portfolio. He/she will drive the Technology Planning Process (TPP) with the GBS, */DXG and Divisional team together with the BRM’s.


Responsibilities:


  • Establishes and fosters strong partnerships with GBS, the business unit and corporate department senior leaders, executives and BRM team members.
  • Develops a full understanding of enterprise and business goals and strategies.
  • Leverages those relationships, combined with business and technical expertise, to influence and deploy initiatives that maximize profitability, and efficiency, and deliver a positive client and associate experience.
  • In partnership with GBS leadership colleagues, is accountable for successful delivery and implementation of GBS solutions.
  • May direct the work of others indirectly (matrixed) to drive customer success and best in class, market-leading solutions.
  • Must be very comfortable exerting influence and authority in matrixed reporting relationships.
  • Interfaces autonomous and effectively with diverse audiences while remaining sensitive to experiential and cultural nuances.
  • Collects and consolidates data that is relevant to the business and/or situation and presents it in a manner that is suitable for that audience.


Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in computer science or information technology.
  • 10-15 years of demonstrated progressive experience in IT, Program management, resource management, change and transformation management.
  • 5+ years’ experience with shared services model.
  • 5+ years management, enterprise-wide transition and/or transformation programs.
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager or Senior Project Manager in IT transformation.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex projects with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong technical understanding of IT, protocols, and technologies.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive way to manage work.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both creating slides and delivering presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
