Corporate Communication and PR Manager

Our client, one of India’s leading essential wear manufacturers, is the result of a recent merger. Headquartered in Bengaluru, the company aims to be the most preferred choice for comfortable and fashionable essential clothing. The merger has created a broad and complementary product portfolio that caters to all ages, income levels, and genders, offering the right value and enabling expansion into attractive growth adjacencies.

Our client boasts a strong portfolio of five sub-brands and holds an exclusive licensing agreement to manufacture and distribute certain products in India. Under one company, it serves consumer needs in both men’s and women’s essential clothing categories across the entire value chain—economy, mainstream, and premium segments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and drive company’s PR strategies for the company’s consumer brand to effectively communicate their stories, create strong positioning, and build a formidable image that resonates with our customers and consumers.
• Develop and execute strategic public relations to achieve visibility in media and position the company as a thought leader in the industry and employer of choice.
• Support and work closely with the management team to understand business strategies, develop executive messages and define strategic communication plan in support of business goals and priorities.
• Develop and implement an internal communication strategy including business critical change communication.
• Develop, implement and manage social media channels to build our image as an employer of choice and connect with talent in the industry.
• Coordinate and support townhall meetings, engagement programs etc. through creative, informative, understandable, and actionable communication leveraging a variety of communication channels.
• Support crisis and business continuity communications as required, internally and externally.
• Implement feedback mechanism and track metrics to measure communication goals and effectiveness

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Communication and PR.
• A good storyteller and communicator.
• Excellent communication – written and presentation skills.
• Strong and proven track record with communication, media relations and social media.
• High sense of urgency and an ability to wear multiple hats.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive new ways of communicating internally and externally.
