Job description

Responsibilities:


Leadership / People Management / Culture:


  • Be the leader to promote and develop the culture of “Safe Every Day and Quality starts with me.”
  • Be the champion and sponsor of Lean and Six Sigma projects.
  • Demonstrate ownership of safety and quality by role-modelling
  • Drive and support the development and maintenance of competences at all levels.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve communication processes, programs and materials in crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Sets APM targets that are aligned with global targets.
  • Represent to external stakeholders in safety and quality matters.


Safety & Quality Management:


  • Implement, maintain, and improve strategy and the management system (operating model)
  • including worker, user, and third-party safety. Focus on selected global areas and projects. 
  • Active monitoring of audits execution and deployment of action plans across the region Providing day-to-day leadership to the team. Defining performance objectives/manages to
  • ensure desired behaviours/results are achieved, seeking & providing input to Personal
  • Development process
  • Driving the development, the implementation and the follow-up of the quality processes, methods, and systems to measure and analyze the performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Analysing feedback from frontlines and proactively gathering and analysing other relevant data to identify improvement opportunities and give a continuous improvement spirit momentum
  • Monitoring the progress and effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions that are being logged within the organisation and provide direction and support where needed
  • Building and communicating the reports on safety & quality actions in the area
  • Lead or support safety related change management projects and initiatives


Safety Assurance:


  • Monitor and analyze safety information, ensure accuracy, and evaluate performance.
  • Provide professional advice and develop safety performance indicators.
  • Set safety targets, goals, and plan/roadmap together with unit leadership and Global Safety
  • Develop annual safety budget in line with global budgeting guidelines.
  • Drive continual improvement through auditing, incident and non-conformity management and
  • the sharing of the outcomes and best practices


Requirements:


  • Awareness of environment, social and governance reporting for corporations is considered an advantage
  • Has strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and a range of experiences managing transformations at a senior level
  • Genuinely interested and motivated to develop relationships with different internal and externa stakeholders
  • Inclusive and inspiring leader who is able function effectively in a matrix set-up; includes directteam members and project team members
  • Excellent people management, training, and communication skills
  • Experience of working in international and multicultural environments, change management & driving the culture change
  • About 10 to 20 years of relevant experience in the area of health, safety and/or quality coupled with keen analytical skills with business acumen
  • Good at problem solving and root cause analysis. Lean Six Sigma and continual improvement skills, Green/Black Belt certification is seen as a benefit
  • ISO certifications, management system knowledge and auditing experience is seen as a benefit
